Game pretty much stopped. I thought I reported some from messing around with Pin, but I guess not? Basically I just went and pillaged a bunch of stuff and got Pin to whip longbows all over the place and obsolete his Colossus. It was pretty negligible in impact - all it really did was probably slow down an inevitable victory a little bit. It might have been more effective if other people had joined in, but nobody else made any attempt to attack Pin, so there wasn't a whole lot of point.
Overall, I never really enjoyed this game that much. I guess I just don't like true water maps which this one pretty much is. The map design is pretty cool, but this type of game is just so dull. The first 120 turns was SimCity, which is NOT my forte at all. Not because I can't do it, necessarily, but because it's so boring that I put no real effort into it. I also think playing Normal Speed made things much worse. That said, I believe I should at least get the warmonger award. I razed cities from Rego, Ruff, and Pin, and I purposely did not raze an Ichabod city that was empty just out of 1) mercy and 2) hope to gain an ally that may be useful later. Change your tag from "Eliminator" to "Warmonger" ?
Heh. Funny thing is I always considered myself more of a builder in play-style, but it seems like nearly every game I play devolves into bloody kill-fests.
aww. this was fun to lurk.. looks like the greens game died too.

This was an odd game for me - I did put effort into it, especially at the beginning, but I was trying to do things differently than usual (not spam-updating, being more warmongery at the beginning)
I definitely understood where you were going on the city raze and I didn't hold it again you. I can't remember why I didn't take OB with you - hopefully I wrote it down in-thread I do think it was due to being full of trade routes as you mentioned
Also it was funny listening to you "complain" about how everyone else settled in place (instead of taking the PH / lake plant), when nobody else had the option

I think Noble and I got in an argument when your galley first came by if there was a warrior on it or not. I was pretty sure there wasn't, IIRC, and may have left that first city undefended. Glad Noble convinced me to whip a spear now. I'm glad you kept a good attitude towards the map; i tried but slipped up more than once, especially once i started actually scouting. Also was hoping for more pictures from you razing my city. You definitely woke me up from thinking i could tech whatever i wanted without worrying sbout defense.

We also had the PHF next to our lake fish. We would have unknowingly orphaned a seafood doing that though, and I don't think it would have been the better play anyway.
