[Spoliers] Oxyphenbutazone's Plays with Elephants

If I agree with you Seven, can you change that wines to an ivory? mischief

If you bring a mere bottle of wine to a white elephant gift exchange, you're not going to be the one who gets the elephant.

Huh Julius of Mongolia goes before Ghandi of Inca...

Ok, I guess I'm crazy? Inca is nerfed in this set up, but SPI/PHI is pretty ideal...

With WE banned, but ballistaphants allowed? I'd take them over Rome or Byzantium...

And I would have taken Gandhi, but I'm playing him in PB11

Situation after making the obvious scout move, there's a fish 2S of the scout

SIP, start research on AH

Oh hai Retep

Marked location wold be a slow starter, but it shares cows with the capital. There's also a very conveniently placed mine which the city can work immediately. Settle on the PH, work the grassland mine for a 4t monument and then a 4t workboat just in time to hook the fish. Depending on how close my position is to Retep, the city would make a good frontline city with decent production and on a hill. Probably not my second city unless there's a strat resource close, but something to think about.

That's weird, Retep moved his scout away instead of trying to squat on a good tile by our capital to make us build a warrior

Yeah, I'm gonna find Retep's capital and do just that. Unless he can 1 turn it, EP costs should warn me of an incoming warrior. After the worker, I'm building two warriors to scout our immediate surroundings and for defense, so I think using the scout a little aggressively is the right move.
