Yes, yes, I know. I realized that my previous post sounded a bit like I was annoyed, but that's certainly not the case (that's one of the reasons I made a following joke post ). And feel free to criticize whatever you feel like, by the way, I won't be mad.
I was just pointing out why I think CY means less in FfH than BTS. Which I think is an interesting discussion. And I'm actually wondering how the other players are working so much food (I know both Thoth and Serdoa are at 2 cities each, so they can't have such a big advantage). I guess it's just the cottage vs. agrarianism farm that is making much of the difference. And probably DaveV is skewing the rival average to a higher level too.
Keep on bashing. Keep on whipping.

Finally I've made a plan that actually gave me profit. And quite fast too!
I've built a scout to, well, scout my surroundings and to try and capture some animals, since I start with combat 1 and 2xp for the animal capture promo.
I moved my scout forward and, on the same turn, he got attacked by a griffon that jumped from nowhere. I believed him dead, but, this time, Lady Luck was with me.
I have a gripphon and you don't ha-ave, I have a gripphon and you don't ha-ave!
I'm currently studying hunting, because I want to adopt the tree religion. Not only for that, I also want hunters, so I can really explore the map. I'm tired of losing due to bad exploring. Other plans involve a chariot army (though I only have a horse source very distant that I can see), maybe some markets... Now that I think of it, I probably should have gone for Festivals first... Hm, maybe I'll backtrack next turn.
My powerful empire (strictly speaking, because we are number 1 in power - not so much on other departments):
Yummy, yummy lion will be the next target for my brave scout after he heals! Happy, happy, happy, lucky, lucky, lucky!
My next city will be the foodplain/incense one near my second and third city. Then I was thinking the pigs and cotton one. But now I decided that I want that Yggdrasil city soon, so I go there. Only Yggdrasil and gold is already a good city, plus I'll be able to work Copper and a plain forest lumbermill after WotF (since Ygg gets +2 food) for 17 hammers per turn at size 4. Good enough, I guess...

How many workers do you have now?

4, with a 5 almost built. They are pretty fast workers too! Barbs have given me some headaches regarding improvements, even if I have quite a bit of promoted units.

I'll report when I get the next turn, whenever that is. The game is still just a buildfest, so there's not a ton of interesting things happening.

We are approaching a GG. DaveV conquered all of Thoth without losing much, using Vamps + 7 str. spectres and Cultists. He is way ahead of everyone in every meaningful demo, especially power. Now, he attacked poor me and I have no counter to his forces. I'd likely be ready in 20 turns, with mobility cannons + mercs/champions (with the GotN and the Guild of Hammers for free forges everywhere), but I can't stop him right now. I'm stupid, because I should have seen this coming, or better yet, I should have done something about what I saw that was coming, but I didn't.
I actually built stables and boar riders... Yeah, I'm dumb like that. Should have been way faster to construction and made a big treb stack. Well, boar riders aren't that bad, the main problem was losing every civic that gives 2xp from the get go. There's a world of difference between a unit with and without shock... I was counting on the FotT, but lost it by some turns...
Meanwhile, plako attacked Serdoa, capturing some cities. I think we'd have to join forces between the 3 of us to take down DaveV, but it seems it's not going to happen.
