W-S looks fine with me. Straight onto the jungle hill would be fine too, but we might as well get visibility on the coast while we're here. Agreed that this western land looks muuuuch nicer than the stuff up north.

Great read guys!
I am curious though, what is the reason for delaying picking a tech? Was it just to look at the land first?

We were hoping to pop a tech with the border-popped hut, without getting the always-annoying "This tech that was at 60/64 beakers is now complete FOR FREE!" effect.

Thanks Bowsling, glad it's been a nice read so far. Hopefully it'll stay that way.
Finally beat pindicator to a turn! Moved our scout to check the coast:
Here's the one stretch of fairly solid land we've uncovered:
So, something odd. First:
So we know this:
* Nobody is at size 2
* Nobody has any land improved tiles (it's T7)
So... let's play a game. What looks out of place here?
It's definitely possible, but it takes some fortunate geography.

6MFG???? So someone got a PH/Stone or PH/Marble plant, and have a PHF in range. Assuming that this is new this turn, it must be one of the people who did some wandering and just got the border pop to the new PHF. If that's the case, then whoever did wander for 2t got their money's worth. I pray they're not EXP and getting +2hpt in bonus on their worker.
6F is pretty good, too, but there's plenty of 3f tiles that are worth planting on (banana, sugar, maybe even a dry rice?).

Orrrrrr someone settled on a plains hill, worked a PFH, and THEN they popped copper on the plains hill.
*shudder*

Impossible - max power is 6000, so no one has Bronze.

Confirming as usual that I know nothing about C&D.

Which way do we want to scout in general next?
South down the coast?
Southeast, cutting into the heart of the continent?
Or south and then bend back east to uncover the land south of our capital?
