Did we give UCiv our map? We should do that if we haven't done it recently.

We have traded map with UnivCiv regularly over the last turns.

We're going to get a cease fire offer from CivPlayers this turn. They've captured one of our iceball cities, evidently their last city and are targeting WPC next and want to avoid a three way timer split. My assumption is that this means their war coalition is going to continue because it doesn't make a lot of sense for CivPlayers to go after WPC, but it does make sense for Apolyton and CFC given their adjacent borders. I didn't get confirmation about who else was going to be involved in the WPC invasion, but I expect once we've been eliminated and CFC is ready to attack they'll join in.
chat with CivPlayers Wrote:11:48:35 AM - CivPlayers: hi, xenu
11:48:43 AM - Xenu: hello
11:49:17 AM - CivPlayers: this turn we will probably send you caesic fire proposal
11:49:27 AM - CivPlayers: I know you can reject it
11:49:46 AM - CivPlayers: but we also will declare war to WPC now
11:49:54 AM - CivPlayers: so it is just to avoid 3 parts of timer
11:50:15 AM - Xenu: haha. is apolyton going to attack WPC also? or CFC too?
11:50:31 AM - CivPlayers: may be, but I think we will be the fastest
11:50:50 AM - Xenu: it looks like you took one of our icy cities this turn. how many scouts did you have to kill?
11:51:08 AM - CivPlayers: hehe, I ran away
11:51:12 AM - CivPlayers: i dont remember
11:51:23 AM - CivPlayers: I hope others wont accuse us in cheating
11:51:30 AM - CivPlayers: for getting extra exp
11:51:55 AM - Xenu: oh whatever, i don't care at all about some other team's accusation. we were holding the city as long as we could and at size 3 your whipping options are rather limited.
11:52:17 AM - Xenu: we knew you'd get it eventually, but i think it let us hold the city another turn, why not do it.
11:52:32 AM - CivPlayers: this is ok
11:52:52 AM - CivPlayers: thank you for making proper defence and not giving up
11:53:01 AM - CivPlayers: I dont like taking empty cities
11:53:11 AM - Xenu: i'll post this chat in our forum, the thanks go to mostly_harmless for his continued effort.
11:53:30 AM - Xenu: well if you're looking for a challenge i'm afraid you won't find it against WPC. haha, sorry!
11:53:57 AM - Xenu: if you guys are quick, though, maybe you can eliminate them before we die. they'd deserve it as badly as they played.
11:54:06 AM - CivPlayers: they are building many longbowman
11:54:15 AM - CivPlayers: we will try to do it
11:54:29 AM - CivPlayers: but I dont know how much can you hold another island
11:54:31 AM - Xenu: my research shows that they could be building giant death robots and they'd find a way to get them so far out of position that they'd be useless.
11:55:24 AM - Xenu: well, if your war coalition stops taking cities from us we can probably hold out for quite a while before global warming causes the seas to capture our last city.
11:58:37 AM - Xenu: i'll pass the message about the cease fire offer to MH, he can do what he wants with it. he's a nice guy so maybe he won't force a three way split, but as long as we're at war with anyone in your war coalition that civ can't declare on WPC also and prevent a 3 way split. so they'd have to be at war with just one of us or WPC i think. and get the declarations lined up in the right order too, I guess. but it's up to MH.
12:00:05 PM - CivPlayers: ok, thank you
So MH, it's up to you, want to accept the cease fire with CivPlayers and let them start attacking WPC without forcing a 3 way timer split? Or do we want to troll all the teams and make 'em all wait a little longer? I don't care either way. On the one hand I'm all for punishing incompetent WPC as soon as possible, on the other hand I don't care whether the game takes forever or not since we don't really have a role in it anymore.

I say accept the offer and let the game continue at its current slow pace. No need to be dicks, and we can let WPC get the relief from this game that they so obviously crave/deserve by letting them die faster.

Why didn't you spin a deal saying we'd accept if CivPlayers kills WPC before we die? WHAT KIND OF DIPLOMAT ARE YOU??

I believe accepting will give us a trade route to UCiv by the way.

I brought it up but I think I mentioned at the outset that I'm about the worst diplomat we could have sent. What exactly do you want from me? Effort? You're talking to the wrong guy. Besides, we want to die now anyway.

So we get a few more gold per turn to give back to them. Eh. So how close did we actually get to paying them back (excluding the value of the great person and spy gifts, which I'd have trouble determining accurate value for)?

I'd value a GSpy at somewhere from 1000 to 1800 gold.

Tell Civplayers we'll agree if they give us our cities back.
