Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

I did? You mean the Darloks?

Bah. You just played the Bulrathi and we're playing them in this SG. Don't worry about it. My one game report will not "cover" the Darloks in a way that would marginalize any reports you write. Trust me, your Darloks will be different than mine. Just play what appeals. If you have fun, it will be a good report.

I'd love to play, but I'll be out of town in a couple weeks, and I've got some exams in the meantime. Probably best if I sit this one out.

Have fun, I look forward to reading!

I'd like to join... smile I'll be away on the next couple of weekends, but if my turns come during the week, I shouldn't have any problems playing...

Goodness. Looks like we might need a couple teams here. smile

Sign me up. I'll volunteer to head up a second roster, if need be.

Thanks! Looks like that will be very helpful. We opened the doors with an initial inventory, but it flew off the shelves in less than a day and now we're scrambling to order more. lol

If we've got to have problems, initial demand exceeding initial supply is at least the right kind of problem to be having.

So... questions. Should we run two games from the same start? From the same scenario but different maps? Or run two unconnected games, perhaps even on different galaxy sizes or with different races? What do you think?

My initial thought would be same map, same game. I suspect that we play Bulrathi differently. It might be instructive to see whether that makes much of a difference in the end result. I suspect not, but we might learn something from the trip.

Hello everyone there....

If one of the games is not starting right now, I would like to try this one with 'expert' players.

I just to to finish playing 1 or 2 game for fun just to get the basic general ideas (I have probably played this game a loooong time ago), but agree that SG with full discussion will probably be the best to get back into ths game. I just hope I won't be to ashamed of my inexperienced actions... eek

I was thinking more along the lines of attempting to play and beef up my reports (based on Charis' feedback) to provide additional learning curve benefit for those new to the game. Not a big worry at all. My line of thought was to try and target my near-term solo games to any niches that hadn't been covered, plus I do enjoy playing the shapeshifters. :D

We'll see. My Darloks game was going to be Hard, but I am feeling ready to play Impossible. We'll see how much time I have to squeeze in a game with a thorough report with the Imperium still unplayed for me.

I'd suggest running the two teams with all the same conditions, isolated to prevent spoilers. That's gives the teams more info to compare notes and perhaps learn more from how the other team approached the situation, after the game is complete. It will also give lurkers the fun of watching two different combinations of approaches to similar game conditions.

Sounds like a fun game, but with the GalCiv training day game still on my plate, I have to reluctantly pass.

I haven't really played MOO in forever and never made it past Hard difficulty with any succes, and that usually as Psilon or Klackon, but this sounds like fun. smile

Add me to whichever roster, that would be fine.
