Small things: we can actually complete math eot 90, but we only need it eot 91 to complete Colossus T92. For improvements I'm thinking cottages for Twisted Pair, 1 more Workshop for Access Point and when we can 1 Workshop 1W of Smurf Tube.

Oh, and thanks for the graphs/demos earlier. We're not last in everything lol

If it makes a difference there are actually 2 of them, and I think it's Agent's neighbourhood rather than CH ... and no it doesn't make a difference. Not sure what's up with that.

Oh, map trading is opened up with Writing; what are your thoughts?

Is circumnav an option? Has it gone? I would not rush into map trading at this time.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

IIRC islands give inter-continental trade routes. We shouldn't trade. Not just because of what Ruff said, but because as far as we know we're the only ones who've invested into early WB scouting; we don't want to give away that info.

Edit:

Change that to 1 Workshop 1W of TP, as we don't have enough smile to grow to size 8

Hey Ruff, while you're here we need another set of prospective city names; we're about to run through the last!

Most of my thoughts on map trading are in the PB22 thread (summary: Why?), but circumnav is a good reason to add to that at this point. Is there any way we can determine whether that is available?

On what we know of the map, I think it will be a difficult task without a combination of naval and land-based exploration. We know, for example that W-E naval exploration is not possible unless there is a water connection from the lake North of Twisted Pair to the West - which is very unlikely given what we've seen of Elum's settling. IMO, what we need to do (if we're serious about it) is to drop a Chariot across the water roughly where End Router died and have it push West ... except that region appears to be infested with Barb Spears at the moment so a Chariot won't survive long! Maybe we could instead ship our 2xp Axe over there, eat the Spears and create a WoodyII explorer? Going East would require putting something on a Galley and taking it SE to where we first met CH.

Other random thoughts:

We have not met 2 civs yet; chances are they are W of Elum - we know that at least one is because he hasn't met anyone to our East and he has spent EPs against someone else. There is a slim chance there's someone immediately North/South of us, but I feel we'd have met them already.

Adrien's Stone city (NE of Access Point) looks like it is across the water from his mainland - this will be good for us when we want to take it away from him.

The land to our South and East looks like a long skinny spit / promontory, but I think there must be a land bridge to the SE to join with Adrien's North. If not, then there is a full N-S waterway cutting across the map and that feels unbalanced, even if it is navigable by coast. Or maybe there is a second N-S water split somewhere W of Elum between us and 1-2 more and the 3 we have met to the East? That would create 2 separate landmasses that would enable intercontinental routes between players and mitigate the island access.

I want to do more exploration! lol

Chariot T84 from Twisted Pair which should explore towards Adrien (and try not to die to Spears), so we'll know where to plant Settler finishing T92.. I've planned a T96 WB build from Access Point which we can use to DoW through him mischief T99 The Hub builds Galley to ferry Axe/Spear over, followed by second load of Settler/Worker.

We might want to hold off on a plan to DoW through Adrien; if his Stone city is indeed across from his mainland that means at least one Galley around and no reason why he shouldn't just eat the WB....
