That leaves us with restricted pairings with Inca banned. I think Bob was alluding to sending a list of four picks to the mapmaker (once our hero in waiting reveals him or herself) rather than snakepick. I think that's the fairest way. If a kind soul would be willing to invest an hour or two in rolling maps and accepting leader submissions, we can probably get started before the day is up. Oh, okay. So yeah, I can probably spend today/tomorrow evening doing that. Given it's rolling, and you seem to want speed/minimal balancing, I'll start once I receive leaders. If given discretion I would go Emp/Toroidial. Happy with Monarch, if you'd rather bias in that direction.

It is very kind of you to offer to help us. Please see our agreed upon mapmaker guidelines below. Whilst a quick turn around on the map is fantastic, please do not think this is of paramount importance. I would prefer the map to be mildly balanced. I don't wish to set you a mandate involving many hours, but just checking that our capitals especially and the options for next few cities are viable would be great. In terms of difficulty, emperor with toroidal seems high for maintenance although I acknowledge that might be my naivety/skill disparity showing through. That being said, I want to get used to how things are done here and improve, so i'm all for it. Just getting my excuses in early! Mapmaker Guidelines: I would prefer the map not to be mirrored. I suppose, my vision is for you to randomly roll a few maps until you find out with some interesting geography then amend it to make sure the capitals and some surrounding land is suitable. If in doubt, make it more lush. More lush is more options which is good. I would suggest basing the map off Totestra, which was used in PBEM68 ... no mirroring and with naval units not being totally irrelevant.
I think I've got everyone's. Just need a player order.
Game should be ready within the next 8hrs.

How set are you on Totestra? Because I am not finding that it generates results good enough to qualify for a largely re-rolling/minimally balancing approach.
The geography is good, as are some of the tools, but it's much closer to a full redraw than rerolling for my money.
