Well, they all look difficult enough to me  lol .

I don't know how the games were generated or how they would get turned into a "real" game, but I note that at least two of them have "always peace" listed in the settings, which might explain why the Balseraphs are doing so well ...

Remember this has been run on Always Peace, as ST says. So yeah, Furia had some fun with Loki (this is the reason the Bals are strong in every game). ST, this was too prevent us taking up a civ a hairs-breath from defeat.

I like the look of the Thessalonica game, too. I do see us being defeated if we do it - but Cardith is just always a tad gross, IMO.

I'm happy for you to go first, Bob. Shall we do:
  • Bob
  • Brian
  • Me
  • DaveV (gives you time to fix the installation - let me know if you need help)
  • Shallow_thoughts
  • Cairo
As I see it, we have one vote each for Thessalonica and Garrim. Dave, ST, do you have any preferences?

Edit: I will, of course, edit the game to remove always peace before we get started - which will also reset a lot of things.

I'm OK with that order. I'm down to five hour days at work so should have plenty of time in the mornings or evenings to play.

Should we get this moved to Succession Games or left here while playing?

I think I'd prefer the standard map to large, so I'm good with giving Thessalonica a go. Aside from anything else, I'd rather play a civ that can actually benefit from capturing other's cities. The ice mana could open some intriguing doors, particularly if we can survive long enough to Sanctuary offensively. As for the order, yes, I'd like to see lots of other peoples' ideas on how to dig out of the hole before it's my turn scared .

Actually looking at the Thessalonica save, if we don't sic somebody on the Balseraphs, we are totally fucked, with a capital D. We're way below them in power, they hates us, yes they do precious.

It'd be interesting to see if we could dig ourselves out of a hole, but I don't know if it's possible without some very quick coalition building.

Looks like it's running again. I just used the brute force method of copying the entire Civ 4 folder from my desktop machine to my laptop.

I can play this Friday or Saturday once I've got a save.

10's probably enough at this stage in the game. Best of luck.

I think the first three or so of us should do 10t, and then we can reevaluate.

I've attached the save below. Note that I had to make it a WBSave, so all relations are reset - we might be able to win Furia back over! But I'll leave that for you to sort out smile

Where does one download v12.1? I apparently don't have it.
