Thanks for doing the stitch. Those always make it a lot easier to see what's going on.

Of course, if AT doesn't want to report about the war I most certainly will do.

Nice response up north - if AT offers peace do you take it to go and smash Jowy?
Reply

No, game is more or less lost for me. I can't really stop Jowys better army and Mjmd is observing a turn split with me. I also want to teach AT a lesson never to start a dogpile vs me. If Jowy hadn't attacked I could have repelled his attack. Everybody who declares on me stays in the war till the bitter end.

T132 Part 1:

Jowys army is moving forward relentlessly. I positioned 6 units in CommandoPygmies to ensure that he can't take the city this turn, further slowing down his army. Next turn they will retreat.

AT did retreat. Now this is very interesting. He moved some of his Holkans back into the city. I'm seriously considering smashing my cats into his main army and attack. Here is my reasoning:
  • Now he does get the defensive bonus from forest, but in the city he would get the same from the Walls + hills + fortification
  • I have only 3 cats that will promote to barrage, but I also have 4 Gallic Swordsman, who I can promote to Guerilla 3 and can act as a kind of collateral thanks to the 50% withdrawl.
  • My other cats still need some more turns, so I can heal after the attack, while waiting for them
Left the turn unfinished to think some more and do the turn with less stress, kids need to go to the kindergarten.

Jowy also destroyed all my copper mines, but pindicator already gifted me an iron some turns ago. But good move nonetheless.

Chariot vs Axeman C3 (99.9%) = Flawless WIN, deleted afterwards

AT got 1 GG out of this and I got 2 jive Overall loss of life his high, which was the goal. Let's look at the casualties:

AT:
2 Swordsmen
5 catapults
5 Axemen
2 Holkan
1 Chariot
= 15 units, for 605 hammers, most of them highly promoted, hurting AT = Priceless

Me:
3 catapults
3 Gallic Warrior
3 Axeman
1 Chariot
= 10 units, for 405 hammers

This is the picture after the battle:

I send both my GGs up there to spread some XP for promotions around. Only units that can attack my stacks are the 2 Holkans from AT in the city and Jowys axeman, but I covered my stacks as best as I can.

Oh by the way. Looks like Mjmd was a bit quick this turn. He logged in after my first login, but I didn't finish the turn. I don't care. Honestly he should join the dogpile soon or nothin will be left for him. This game will come down to a big showdown between Jowy and pindicator at the end.

T133:

No pictures this time as there's nothing to interesting to see there. AT offered peace, ha no way at this point. I want at least my city back, then and only then can we possibly talk about peace. I killed a Jowy axeman out of position in the north. Jowy moved a trireme near BerzerkHalfling ready to pillage my clam. I used one GG on my Gallic Warrior stack in the west and promoted one unit in each stack to Medic I to heal some more for the attack next turn.

Down south no fighting took place and I retreated all of my units back to the capital as Jowys main army is at the gate. I moved my other GG down south to promote some axeman and maybe a spear. I'm amassing as much troops in my capital as possible. Hopefully I can slow down Jowy until my northern stacks can move down south. You know one good move that AT could do is giving up the city by retreating all of his forces. That way I would be able to move my army down south to face Jowy. That's probably his best move at this point. Wouldn't it be amazing if I could destroy Jowys army? That would mean I've prevailed in the face of a 2v1 dogpile. One can only dream. Allears

Quick question about that. Let's imagine the following scenario:
  • AT moves all his units out of the city and retreats
  • AT offers me peace and the city of GoldsmithSkags
Would I be allowed to take that offer? It's more or less the same result if he moves out, I capture the city and offer peace myself. The only difference is that I could move some more units south.

I don't see any rules against peace for cities if that's what you're asking. Seems fine to me?
