Turn 1 (3960 BC) Birth of an Empire

Coruscant is founded, working the game to build it's first worker and starting research on Bronze Working.

Triple Zero, Imperial Center, Heart of the Empire. Coruscant is known by many names, all signifying it's importance to the Galactic Empire and the Republic before it. Most of the planet is densely urbanized, with vertical depth indicating your wealth and importance, with the literal seedy underbelly more than a kilometer below current street-level.

Settling didn't reveal anything interesting in our expanded BFC, so the scout moved NW-NW as planned:

I was happy enough revealing the sheep, but then the hillside gold was icing on the cake. We'll have to scout some more, but I think we're looking at a city south of the wine and south of the gold. Will move the scout to the gold next turn.

Demographics (with AT, Ruff and Superdeath founded)

In the big picture, AT was the only player to settle in place.

Oh my, aren't we rolling quick this morning?

That is some very juicy riverlands to the north and west. I feel pretty confident that this is the direction we want to expand into. While we should be curving eastwards about now, I'm tempted to go SW-W NW-W first.

Cool! Nice to be moving fast. Just curious, did you mean NW-W?

Curious that our GNP is 18. We are not CRE, and are not working any commerce tiles, but somehow have the same GNP as CRE-AT did. Either of you know what that's about?

Edit: City south of gold; would you consider settling that 2S of gold with Stonehenge to pop the borders? It nabs a 3-food lake, is coastal for TGL (we want, right?), and still has sheep first ring to grow on while waiting for borders to pop. It would probably have to be a 4th or 5th city instead of 3rd. Not sure if better, but wanted to throw it out there. It also allows for a city on the Plains hill by the floodplains which looks like it could be nuts.

GOLD! We're rich! Yeah settle that asap and get the money. Huge early econ boost. Good priority.

I think we should finish exploring and consider 2nd city being SE of the Sheep and 3rd city being on the other side of the gold. Still need a fuller picture but settling the city 1S of gold while great leaves us with a kind of shitty filler between the gold and the cap. Let's find more food first.

Yep, it's too early to make definite dotmaps, I'm just throwing out ideas. A city south of the wine does have some merit though; it will form a canal between the southern and western oceans while borrowing the whale and cows from the capital. It looks like they're not immediately connecting at least, and I don't think it's possible to put anything other than a commerce city between the gold and the capital. A city just east of the gold should have two or three floodplains to work with also.

Turn 3 (3880 BC)
I went west to see if there was any food around the gold...

Looks like that sheep is it, apart from quite a few floodplains. There also appears to be an ocean to the north. Think I'll go NE-NE and start circling back. Edit: going SW-SW also has some appeal to it.

While going SW-SW has some appeal, I think we are getting beyond our first ring of cities now, so we will have time to scout there later. I would start the ring/circle now.

Checking out the SW before heading east would cost us 3-4 turns, which I figured was worth it as that's likely the direction we're settling first:

I'll say that move was worth the cost. Two new food resources (that are in range of the gold), a new gold (most likely meant for our western neighbor) and a contested(?) incense.

Turn 5 (3800 BC)
I did a quick detour to the second gold before curving back to our original scouting plan. The scout is slightly behind, but we should have our inner ring scouted well before the first settler is ready, as there's no risk of dying to barbarians.

A tentative path back home is drawn in. I forgot to verify, but the rice should be dry.

Charriu, could you change our colour to a bright Imperial red? (similar to my avatar)
