I was inspired by its location and picked the name of a place that has a lot of personal meaning to me for city #2.

Back in 2011 I quit an awful job and hiked the Camino de Santiago.  In a lot of ways this was the trip that started my backpacking love:  I've been chasing that dragon ever since, trying to recapture in backpacking trips what I found walking across Spain.  When I arrived at Santiago de Compostela I knew I had to continue on to the ocean.  And so I spent 3 days walking to arrive at Finisterra, and the lighthouse at the end of the world.




Watched the sun go down from that vantage point.  It was almost 2 months walking the Camino and these were the last moments before returning back into civilization.

Finisterra takes the corn and starts a worker - as I mentioned earlier, that is needed more to help get City #3 improved faster than it is for Finisterra.  Meanwhile Goat Rocks takes the pfh and the wheat and starts work on the work boat to hook up the fish.

I haven't been paying too close attention, but i believe we are the first civilization to settle our second city.

This is the trail used as a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, correct? That sounds like an incredible experience.

If you ever get the chance to go I would take it. Hearing about the unique atmosphere and comraderie among the peregrinos was what drew me to it and my experience did not disappoint!

There's a great double-food spot just to the east, but going north like this makes me think that's where his copper is.

One turn on a warrior for growth, and then we start the next settler at size 3.

AH due in 3, as the growth will just get us there with that extra commerce.

How valuable is knowing what's to Commodore's back (possibly including other players)? Probably easier to find some of them now when it's clearly just a scout pass-through than when his borders expand and the diplomatic situation is more complex. On the other hand, the land in between us is clearly delicious and everyone will want it, so we can be pretty confident he will expand in our direction too.

Who did we think was likely to be up north again?
