Sounds like something for a different game, yes.

Seriously, we don't need a system - people won't sign up if its not appropriate.
You don't need a system for this...

I'll presume you mean posts Master Q.
I think if folks aren't prepared to notionally agree to update a spoiler thread in a minimum fashion, then joining a game on RB may be slightly pointless.
At least it wouldn't be as enjoyable as it could be for everyone.
And anyway why wouldn't you agree as a guideline to post something meaty at say turns 10, 20, 50 and then every so often after? If you couldn't be bothered then so be it. Whatevzies.
No rules on updates but I think the spirit of participation says you'd want to update every now and then... why not chuck in some targets.
Anyway not sure if I misunderstood.

I believe he meant it about:
"How about we assign some arbiters and tell them later? Krill, Commodore and T-hawk perhaps?" "To say whether players in a noobs game, embody the spirit of noobishness. Despite how many games they may have played. Unless it's ten. Ten is too much games."
(Also, joining a game for fun but not wanting to update a spoiler thread shouldn't be too much of an issue, even if I would keep a spoiler thread. People can have fun without one!)

Many have signed up in the past despite being asked not to sign up.

OIC, then I did misunderstand.
Look the basic premise is wanting a game where most players aren't experienced*. If there are suggestions that folks may be not-so-inexperienced* as to warrant exclusion from a game with this idea, then fine. But I'm in no position to say who might or might not be eligible.
We don't 'need' a 'system' and perhaps that suggestion was not great. *But* I didn't like the idea really of moving a somewhat solid imaginary line (no MP XP), to an arbitrary imaginary line (<=3 games) without some outside opinion of whether zero-xp competitors might have 'half a chance'. That's why I suggested it could be done that way.
Also, we need experienced* players to be making regular and constructive contributions if the tentative game ideas are going to gel. I don't know that there's any point in getting too caught up in any one suggestion or idea, as they're all pretty subject to change if interested parties want them to.
*In Multiplayer Games

Experience is irrelevant.* Skill is relevant.

Okay, wherever experienced is mentioned it needs to be qualified with 'in Multiplayer Games'.

Quick question - is it possible to put a table in a post?
E: The borg is also educational. Figure out the details later.

Should we consider banning any leaders/civs?
