Ok, I took this turn as well and looked through the cities. Oxford completed end of turn by hiring an engineer. We have 900g in the bank running a deficit of 140 ... so enough for about 6.5 turns. We pull 790 beakers per turn. Factoring in 20% prereq bonus we have enough gold to burn through about 5600 actual beakers in the next half dozen turns. Military Science is 3-turns.
We'll probably be running research for a few turns now, so I queued up a Market in San Juan rather than another pike. A market is worth 12 gpt right now and it will complete just as we're getting ready to start saving gold again. I put Havana building a 7-turn Aqueduct since we have -2f fromm unhealthy with several more good tiles to grow onto ... I also have Havana the deer rather than Maracaibo (Maracaibo doesn't have any more tiles to grow onto).
