And just to stick it to darrell, here's Adlain's reply
Quote:Hi Regoarrarr,
yea i have a pritty good view of the map. alot of my land left is tundra, its has some strong selling points in places and i may be looking into that soon (my settling has been less that what i would like in all honesty) and as for Luddite, i think he just leveraged his Vultures very well to get what he wanted out of that war - he went in quickly and decisively from what i saw and was able to break Malkotis defence before he had time to react - hence the complete Victory.
As for my whipping - most of it was planned from last turn, but i will be preping some extra Defences , although i do have a NAP in place that would preclude and immediate action unless he was to ignore said nap - but I don't see him as that sort of player.
As for a nap between us, Im certain that for what ever reason we have had no prior arrangements, but then we have not really needed them so far - that said i am willing to open negotiations to a 50T NAP if you would like
as for a chat - feel free to msg me at any time - i tend to forget to change my status on these things - i will ether be able to answer or not
Kind Regards,
Adlain

What do you think of Luddite's eastern border with LP?

one of the weirdest things I saw was how far west luddite pushed mackoti! Even looking at (what I think is) the original border area they were fighting over, that's SO far from luddite. I'm surprised he was able to do so well that far from his core...

Hmm I remember it being a one city choke but I dont' remember how close it was to either of their capitals - I'll check that when I get in-game tonight

You know, sunrise...yesterday I noticed that the executable is named Civ4BeyondSword_PitBoss.exe.

Turn 157 played. CS in 1 @ 90% - we had just enough gold to get it done. At our current tech rate, Optics + Astro will take 22 turns I believe, though that should come down.
One other option would be to try and speed up our creation of a Great Merchant in Vine. Other games aside that would be a pretty effective way to fuel some research.
I've been keeping track of techs at least by the alphabet folks, and Nakor just got Education - he's been teching pretty fast, but 3t for a 3100b tech is pretty fast, so I believe he must have used a scientist

At first I thought he was sticking it to you because you never log in to play, and was pointing out what you could click to launch the game.
But now I think he is trying to stick it to you about the whole RPB / RBPB / RBP thing

Moogle wrote us today
Quote:Good timing! Locke did in fact just contact me about the Adlain idea we floated about earlier. If you're still interested in that action, we should start planning between the three of us. I don't expect too much resistance against a three-pronged attack.

I thought I posted it this morning but I guess I didn't.
I replied back
Quote:Yes I think that we're up for that. I am not sure quite HOW much we'll be able to provide militarily but we should be able to get a decent-sized force together. We've got a bunch of cats and as of next turn we'll be able to produce maces as well. He's got protective longbows, but that just means we need more units :-)
Where are you at, military tech-wise? Do either of you have research visibility on Adlain?
We should probably figure out how we want to divide the lands up, at least a rough idea of things, so that we're all on the same page there. As far as land goes, I don't know how much of Adlain's land makes sense for us to get, geographically speaking. What I'm most concerned about is the capital and Buddhist shrine. I don't have a map in front of me so I don't know whose land it makes the most sense to get the capital, but I think we probably should discuss the shrine and how that works out, especially between the two of us, since we're the resident Buddhists (no sense letting that heathen Locke get it!!!!) :-D
Maybe some sort of arrangement between the two of us where the one who controls it gives a payment for the Buddhist cities of the other power, something like that.
Any other thoughts? If we're going to start talking logistics, we should probably include Locke too? Do you want to kick that off since he had talked to you about it?
I'm not sure that we are going to be able to participate in this Adlain war, and if so, to what degree. But I thought it's worth exploring. Annoyingly all of our army is on the plako side though
