Krill just discovered Liberalism.
Nice work on hiding that. Lots of overflow games and bulbing, I'm sure.

And this was funny. Well, it should have been funny, but the Screenshot missed Krill's ship name: "Someone needs Optics":

So, Whosit put a large stack on the hill 3N of my NW city (Castle Black?) last turn. He killed a few units then, but lost a GG to my GII LB on that hill. He left a 5-unit stack on the hill, with the toughest units being GII LB and a Combat II Knight. I sent in a suicide catapult (since I didn't want 50% odds against all 3 of those units), and the catapult did amazingly well: dropped the targeted LB down to 48/100HP, and damaged the other four units down to about 87HP or so. You can see the results there, my 5 knights went 5 for 5 (with 3 fights in the 70% range, losing one was likely), and I've got a GII Musket, GII LB, and a Combat II Knight on that hill. Figure that should be enough that if he wants to kill them, he'll have to spend several catapults to do so: that Musket's defending at 9+180% (1 turn of Fortification).
I didn't want to spend my last 2 knights with move left on attacking that stack (popping two spears, for sure), but doing insufficient damage to the catapult stack. I want to get 8-10 knights in on that catapult stack and flank it to death, not merely to the pain.

Krill has Rifles, which is trouble. I'm about 6t away from Rifling after hitting End Turn (T124). He's in Nationalism, so he could pump out a large pile of Rifles in a hurry. I only see one, but his 7-HA stack that's been hanging out behind that city for like 30t just disappeared. Cavalry upgrades once he gets Music and Mil Trad?
Once Rifling's done, my plan is, barring nasty invasion:
Tech Education for Philosophical Universities and Oxford in the capital
Head up the Nationalism/Const./Democracy line (US is my civic of choice, I've got lots of towns and could use the production), and grab Liberalism, as well.
EOT122, I should have a Great Person be born in The Eyrie, which will let me flip some civics.
I'm worried, though. Krill can out-produce and out-tech me. At least Rifling gives me a fighting chance if he comes knocking.
My military is mostly muskets, Knights, and catapults. Not great if there's a Rifle Stack of Doom coming my way.

Update:
Got a GSci, burned him on a GA.
Switched to NH and Mercantilism, will switch out of NH when the GA is over. 6*3 = 18 drafted rifles, which will have to do.
I'll finish Oxford in a few turns, at which point I'll turn tech back on, and burn through it on my way to Chemistry and Steel, and then either go grab Mil Trad, or head straight for Assembly Line. Not sure which.

A massively overdue update.
What's going on:
I've got Infantry, MGs, and Destroyers now. Mostly just building Infantry and waiting for Krill to come at me. There's easily 200 units capable of dealing with him.
Usually, ships get some random names, like "A Hit, A Palpable Hit" because it won a 50-50 battle against a Krillian Destroyer...and even lived for the next turn to tell about it! (That surprised me, tbh).

Heading for Industrialism. I'm working on Physics. It's 1775 AD (T180), and I expect that I'll get there around T195 or so. My economy's maxxed out at around 700bpt or so; there's not enough land to build any more useful cities (which I screwed up the placement of; I settled very sparsely, acting like it was PB3 toroidal/emperor instead of flat/Noble). Running HR/FS/Slavery/Merc/Theo (still occasionally useful; I should've gotten Demo during the last GA and switched to US/FS/Emancipation). Merc and Theo are incredibly obvious on this game/map; SP would be nice, but not quite worth the tech and revolt. I don't want to bulldoze all my lovely towns.

Could we get some pictures to go with the update?
I am especially interested in your northern front. You say you dont have enough land, isnt it possible to take some from Whosit?
