When are you going to build a cove for the pearls? 5 Commerce is nothing to sneeze at

I'm thinking after the Settler. I have the Warriors to escort the Settler, so why not? The Pearls can wait a bit because my happy limit increased due to lovable Penguins and Deer.
The second city can start cranking out WBs, I'll need a lot from that second city.
Yes, you can build coves on lakes. I'm not sure if bordering a lake is sufficient to qualify for the ability to make boats though.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)
Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone.
Noble: That's already been planned out, I have a city bordering on a huge lake that can send the boats the other side
As long as you can get the boat onto the lake you can pirate cove it, as long as it doesn't break the 3 tile rule.
God bless Pocketbeetle.
![]() Civ discovered! It has proven to be none other then the Blood-Sucking Vampires! However, his scout who is presumely not vampiric yet, has landed up next to 3 Lizardmen and a Bear. Quote:[COLOR="Red"]The good news is those lizards won't be a bother to you at least :-). Quote: [COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]Darrell, A skeleton has also been spotted, even more Barrows Will probably explore the one next to my base soon. Now, i'm sure many of you are wondering why i blessed Pocketbeetle. ![]() Yay! He has been named Subcommander Gerald after the mighty hero in Radiata City, to celebrate his coming! Hopefully I'll find an Ashen Veil disciple next! Ok, moving on. It seems the mapmaker decided to tease the Ocean-Going Civ with yet another World Improvement... ![]() Also, fish and pigs! I'll be getting Sailing, sooner rather than later! And that ends my summary so far
Plan decided!
My only warrior with Experience will take the GC. He will whack the incoming Skeleton to reach Combat 2. He will head to the hilled city of Radiata, and fortify there for 5 turns, to reach a bonus of quite a lot. Let's see, 25% for Hill. 25% for culture. 25% for fortification. 25% for Warrior bonus in City. 40% for Combat. So, a 140% bonus for my Str 4 Warrior, which is 9.6 total. That will allow me to kill off anything spawning from a Dungeon, with the sole exception of 2 Mistforms (please don't). Even an Ogre will lose (Str 9, albeit risky). All right! Once i get that 25% bonus, a Warrior will pop the Dungeon, while the rest cower in the city =P. I still have 15 - more turns before the Settler is built anyway (Lesser once the coves upgrade again).
I'm still confused about why you blessed PB... I think Dave came up with the "surround the lair" technique :P
Also, if you don't mind polluting your GP pool, you could make a Command Post in your capital. +25% production on military units and +2 exp each is nothing to sneeze at. |
