Hmm, that peak set looks like good news. Are you going to send the warrior north of that and see if you can find another forest hill tile?

That's something I'm considering. Alternative is to make next build a scout and send that instead. Eastern picket definitely needs a move as well, as it is it's too close to the borders and does not serve its purpose.

Really not sure why you'd want to build a scout at this point, and especially to not do any real scouting. An unpromoted scout is much less likely to survive than an unpromoted warrior, and you're not really going to use the second move. The current warrior could definitely take a peek outside borders, that should be safe enough.
Oh are you concerned about spiders? You could build a scout and send them out together I suppose.

Turn... What was it again? Says 27 here boss.
And how did that happen, eh?
People are boring  No score changes since turn 24.
Merry Tune grew to size 4. Working tiles as shown.
Ancient Chants due at EoT.
Eastern and western pickets wandering. Found another forest hill in the east, will dig in there if no birds eat the unit this turn. Nothing promising in the west so far.

I think I kept working the 2/1 (grassland) forest until one turn to size 5, which is when Mysticism came in. Then I swapped to the 1/2 forest on that turn (keeps growth), and the new citizen works the plains hill. I'm not sure how the delayed plantation affects things though.
I'm not too concerned about spiders in the vicinity of the capital since they can't spawn in places that we had defogged, and they don't move except to attack a unit. Scout didn't get attacked by the bear I take it?

We have developments!
First plantation done. We get 17bpt and 22 GNP with prereq bonus for Mysticism.
Which means Myst is due in 11t. Warrior out in 2. Growth in 5.
Sareln got a cheap tech. Odds on for Ancient Chants.
Mr. Yellow got a very expensive tech. Odds on for Education.
Our pickets wander and bring results. West found Sheep.
This makes city site north of Incense officially very good. We want it soon.
East found himself another forested hill. It revealed some interesting terrain. And a birdie
Odds calculator says we have 70%. Do we feel lucky?
On the flipside, North got eaten by a bear. Let's shed a quiet tear and move on.

Bah, and here I was thinking we'd just be able to sit there with that scout and let it capture animals for us. The city north of the incense will be interesting. It's definitely the best city spot available, it's just a pity that we can't plant it further west to firmly control that mountain pass. Still, it'll serve as a good gateway city, even though the hills bordering the city make it harder to defend than it could be.

Animals - Bannor 2:0
Feather ( and beak and claws ) is indeed mightier than the sword
So yeah, eastern picket bit it.
Apart from that -
