Hello Zero, welcome to the forum. Games are set up in Civ General Discussion. When a game has been decided on, the founding thread (this one) is moved into a new subforum.

Zero_1627 Wrote:Hello,
I have a technical question: where are games set up? (I thought it's here, in PBEM subforum, but now PBEM33 appeared out of the blue with 1000+ posts already!).
As you may see, I'm quite a newbie here (though I lurk for a long time now).
Howdy Zero and welcome! Glad you decided to start posting, I just started within the last month myself, and I had been a long-time lurker as well.
As Catwalk said, these games are set up in the general discussion forum. I actually set this one up just a few days ago, and it stays there until it has enough interest and committed players to be moved to a folder of it's own here in the PBEM category. That's why there are so many views and posts already, because this main thread was in the Civ general discussion forum for a few days prior to being moved today.

Zero, what skill level would you say you're at? Have you played MP games before? You could offer to team up with the amazing slowcheetah, if he'd be interested in that.

BRickAstley, please update the opening post of this thread with the final rules and settings for the game so we know where to find it. I will shoot T-Hawk a message about renaming the thread to "PBEM 33 Setup & Tech Thread".

I have no problem with Zero playing as his own team if he wants, as far as I'm aware Serdoa hasn't started making the map, and a 5 player PBEM sounds reasonable. We could just slot him in after me in the snake pick, which would be appropriate because it's alphabetical anyway :P. Would everyone be ok with this?
Due to us deciding on Zero's entry I'll only make one of my picks for now.

Five players is a good number too, really. Zero, would you be able to consistently make a 1t/day slot?

I'll post half a vote saying I'm also okay with Zero joining after slowcheetah in the snake pick if he likes and everybody else approves.

I reach consensus and agreement with everyone else's agreeing consensus.
Zero, you're more than welcome to join in this game if you want We're doing a snake pick right now, and we'll just put you on to the end of it, everyone has already made one pick, so now it's your turn to pick both if you'd like to play with us
Pick rules: you may have only 1 choice out of:
1) A Financial Leader
2) An Expansive Leader
3) India (already picked though)
4) Inca
Your other pick can be any other eligible civ or leader in the game.
So far what has been claimed:
1) Hayuna Capac
2) Willem van Oranje
3) India
4) Isabella
So with those in mind, if you want to play just make a post with your choices for leader and civ and you'll be in the game with us.

On thread management: Keep all the setup stuff in the original thread (this one). Once you have all the rules nailed down, start a new Tech Thread with the relevant stuff in the first post, and I'll sticky that one then.
