Map Theory confirmed.
Scipio seems like a great neighbor draw, if he is in fact our neighbor. He possibly went warrior first, but he does have his second city down. Continue to move the scout NW to confirm it is, in fact, him who is our neighbor and not that his scout is just moving through.
I turned tech on stupidly last turn not realizing we had no gold, so I wasted a coin when we went to 90%. Turned back down to 0% and then we will turn tech back on next turn. Chop comes in next turn and pasture finishes as well. I don't have my sims in front of me, but the capital building workers on the fish/ph mine/ivory gets 2f and 12h, with worker bonus its another 4 hammers for 18f/h, i.e. 2 workers every 7 turns. I don't think we need to whip it for a worker and can save that whip for the granary.
I have the chopping worker going to the grass hill or moving towards the copper. We can't really do anything but mine or chop now, but getting into position to mine the copper the first turn we can is a nice benefit. There is a lion up that way and soon we will have barb warriors around, so that warrior next to Arial probably should start moving up to the copper as Arial can make a replacement warrior very soon.

Please wait until it's not a spoiler, or say it in spoiler tags.
No problem, it can wait.
Agreed on the whipping times, we shouldn't whip anything in the capital before Granary, especially Workers since they're so cheap. Same for Arial, it might as well grow on Warriors until it hits Size 3 - or whenever it runs out of improved tiles, I suppose we could farm one of the riverside grasslands.

WRT Arial, I see it as a borrower of the Ivory until pigs are done, and then let it stagnate at size 2, working the pigs and the grassland hill mine. We get 5f and 4h(+1) to a worker for 10 f/h, with a whip being a strong option there too. Once we get pottery, we'll have a lot of workers to put much needed cottages down for Arial to help the capital grow. We also need to consider how/when we want to put culture into Arial, given that it can acquire 2fp, but the sheep will become workable at T50 after capital's borders pop 3rd ring. I don't think it needs a farm because it will eventually get the sheep and the 2fp.

The Sheep aren't in the capital's 3rd ring, though - Times's borders aren't adjacent to the Sheep tile. We'll need some source of culture to get the Sheep workable. For the moment Arial will have good tiles to work, between the Pigs, Ivory and sharing grassland cottages/mines. Once we found our fourth city, whichever location we choose, we should probably have Mysticism.
About settling in the future, we can probably not worry about settling right up to the jungle since I doubt Jowy and Scipio will plant on our sides of it. The islands will be a much more contentious matter, we should consider how early we want to get Sailing in order to start settling there. Tech-wise I think we can pass up on the religious side for the mid-term. We have three happy resources on our land, then Gems, Incense and Silk abroad (plus Whales, but they need Optics), so our happiness situation should be manageable.

So, I'm starting to wonder if our starts are mirrored:
I turned tech back to 100% after taking this screenshot and started moving the Warrior to the Copper site.
Somebody's sitting on a Size 6 city.

Double turn this evening. I wasn't sure what exactly you had in mind for micro so I played it by ear. I take responsibility for all unforced errors.
Our Worker destined for City 2 is 1N of Times, having put a turn each into the nearby farms. It'll be able to start mining/roading the Copper on the turn City #3 goes up.
I'm thinking Courier for this city. That's because this city will be swapping tiles with other cities, and it's almost midnight here.
Worker #2 is on the riverside grassland hill, preparing to mine. I didn't see the need for Arial to hit size 2 until we had this tile improved, and anyway we need a third Warrior - Barbarian Warriors are starting to appear.
Improving the grass hill over the plains hill down south might be a micro mistake I made - the PH is 0/5/0 when mined compared to the riverside grass hill's 1/3/1.
Going to go ahead and say that we have mirrored starts. Wondering if I should step into Scipio's borders to scope out his capital, but what with knowing the terrain already we'd only find out what size the capital is and what tiles it's working/has improved.

Also, Hunduism was founded this turn. Both Jowy and Dreylin got 6-point increases over the interturn so it must be one of them that teched Polytheism.

I don't think it's worth walking into his capital unless you know he can't hit us because he has a warrior somewhere that would likely be happy to whack our scout.

Micro looks good, but I changed Arial to the pigs because it can grow and work the ivory while the capital builds workers with the PH mine. Next worker finishes in 3 turns in the capital, and I think Arial should begin a worker at size 2 after its next warrior.
Was going to ask about moving the worker into the woods where a wolf theoretically could eat him, but I didn't realize you were ok with it after reading your post again. You are alright with it, right? I didn't move him yet.
Also, those are Borsche's borders! Scipio must be NW of him.

I dunno if risking a Wolf eating is worth getting Copper hooked up one turn sooner. Guess we should have sent the Warrior north sooner. If we delay the Worker by one turn, the Copper mine can still be finished by the time City #3 grows to Size 2. Will we need Axemen or Spearmen right away?
