Yeah, I'm still alive, this just confirms that I'll probably never actually play a multiplayer game, as life seems to always keep me insanely busy. I'll have a chance to look at the current situation and give some random thoughts soon, seems like things are still moving along though.

All good, just didnt want ya to pull a "ghostpants" on me. wink

As far as never playing a multiplayer game, it honestly, ( unless you are working like 70+ hrs a week + angry/naggy wife + kids kinda deal ) shouldnt be too hard to set aside 20min or so imo to play a turn. Could easily ask for a pause as "x time" is the time of the day you can play.

turn 67/68-

First to 7 cities! However, that is doing a number on our maintenance and as such, any cities to be founded in the future will begin with the island one. I plan on razing the barb city between me and rome, for some maths gold. Currently making 3 gold a turn or so at 0%... not really where i wanna be, but after some cottages/improvements and what not, should be able to stay afloat. Also, declared war on Shallow/persia as he settled in a really bad/good spot. Bad- Can attempt to steal the gems, which is not what you wanna do when i specifically stated its "mine"  crazyeye  Not on a hill, which ... isnt good for anyone bordering me in this game.. Good- has like, 2-3 food options, possible gems. So, i declared war with an impi, and moved to get a look into the city, seeing its currently garrisoned by 1axe, and a immortal... wasnt going to break that. so moved to the gems and offered 10 turn peace as i rolled the turn TO turn 68.

My current hope/plan- Build library in cap, run 2 scientists, bulb alpha after limping thru maths, and build research ect thru currency. Maybe squeeze in another city or two. Watch out for possible road-attack on Green Lantern and a possible amphib vs The Flash. Once Shallow plays, whip chariot to kill barb axe,  move impi into Green Lantern, finish the farm/chop into GLantern for the ikhanda, move workers and trololo thru this game a bit more.

Any questions?

Turn 71-

Oracle has been grabbed early this game lol. Course it HAD to be rome that got it, why couldnt RFS/Charriu had grabbed it? Lame. shakehead  Current fears in descending order.. Grabbed iron working, will now be whipping out an army of preats to stomp a neighbor, or halt mine and his games. Grabbed currency somehow already, and is now going to steamroll ahead fast. Or he grabbed something really weird that will help him do one of the other things.

Moving on from that depressing news, last turn an impi of mine attempted to raze a barb city, it failed, dieing without doing jack to the barb, this turn my backup impi came and razed it to the ground. The reasons for razing should be obvious, but ill spell them out. 1- i am on rockbottom for gnp/research.. 1-3 gpt at 0%! 2- it is a horrible city site considering it wasnt on a hill vs ROME.

I am currently attempting to push infrastructure and workers as much as possible vs more units, as... i have 4 workers for 7 cities, with an 8th likely being planted about turn.. 84ish on the island. saving all the gold i can, as ill be running thru maths as soon as i am able.. Getting scientists in any city that can get a library asap for badly needed research, and for a GS for alpha. Plus the added culture in the border cities is badly needed.

It's not quite that bad, but I'd end up needing those pauses far more than I'd want to.  Still here, amazingly having a week of vacation means I have had even less time than usual for my random internet browsing, obviously I do too much of that at work.  Will still respond soon with some comments.  Sigh.

Turn 77-

Killed the barb city that was in the way of my future border city with rome, i now have 3 8-10 exp impis.. mounted units beware. In 3 turns my settler pops out and will be riding the galley to the promise land of $$ trade routes. Burning thru my gold on the way thru math's. By the time i get thru it and start saving gold for currency, my GScientist will have popped in the cap for most likely alpha bulb. With alpha bulbed ill be able to build research my way thru currency-iron working-calendar without any troubles.

I forgot to take a screenshot of the actual power bar, but according to these demos, either some serious military is being churred, or people are hitting iron working/ construction already.. Axe production will be needed on the west side of the empire soon im afraid.

Ill admit, my next pitboss here ill have the early game down a bit better.... a major issue i have is not building enough workers for the cities i have b4 currency. That seems to drag me down into the mid-range field instead of the top tuna.
