SD moved most of his galleys away from immediately threatening me, so maybe he meant his diplo. I'm curious if he was try to defend his colony over in Plemo land. Plemo is building up quite a nice little stack and I doubt it is for Als two cities over there.

I lost city investigation on Plemo sadly, but just quick neat little thing he has gotten to get away with this game is skipping HBR. So even though he has guilds he can still build sentry chariots.

Based on what I'm seeing I think T/C won their battle, but I'll know more next turn. Did they have two workers and a knight in a suspicious position to raze Great Lakes even though they sent fish for fish sure. Again, do I know why people would want to attack the 2nd place civ and give the win to Plemo, no, but Gav has made me super cautious so I moved a 2nd unit in just in case.

Who has 1g in the bank but has rifles. THIS GUY!!!! And Plemo also does, but with like 200g in the bank. I researched both replaceable parts and rifling same turn as him. Mind you I did it through MASS wealth and final turn some research builds. For the past 7 or so turns (IE since Gav peace) I've had the majority of my cities building wealth. Last couple of turns I've only had 2-3 NOT on wealth / research. My builder heart is very sad as those are org rel turns I'll never get back.

Anyways, I flashed Gav a rifle and demanded my city back again. Obviously it sucks he has culture, but it would have also been very painful if I had had to draft / whip my entire empire down to stop his original attack. I have been drafting muskets mainly in the north of my empire to send down, but not always max per turn. I think I have 11/ 15 or 18 I could have had. Its going to be a lot of turns before I miss drafting a rifle I think.

Anyways, T/C did indeed break Al. Plemo actually flipped one of their island cities via culture, which they can't be too happy about. But ya even with Al losses they have the #1 military in the world and soon to be 1 land neighbor, who  has 0 stack on their border  . If like Gav they had multiple neighbors I have no doubt they would just keep on rolling (like Gav SHOULD HAVE done), but for now I think* I'm safe.

I don't plan on attacking T/C anytime soon, so I don't think there would be conflict of interest there and the only other person reporting appears to be Magic???? I guess if you are reading the German forum then you are probably disqualified.

Anyways, there is good news and bad news.

I got Edmund Fitzerald back. Evidently Gav decided that delaying his eventual conquest while pissing me off was wasn't the best. BTW did he build a mine over a matured village after he signaled peaceful intent? YOU BET HE DID!!! He just loves those little insults that want to make you punch him in the face. No wonder he gets into so many wars. So ya I lost 2 mature villages total and time. But since city was given back and forth it at least has all its infrastructure. 



The good news is of course I don't have to worry about Gav in the short term. The bad news is he may just go conquer the rest of the world like I thought he would do / should do. At least now I have drafted rifles I guess?

Speaking of I totally forgot drafted rifles were 7 pop and not 6. So I have 9 cities at 6 pop right now due to prior planning lol and contrary to my previous assertions I decided not to draft this turn. I have 10 cities at size 10 or higher vs 17 (almost 19) from Plemo. Again the amount of food he has is just very nice. His post GA demos are not as encouraging for me as I had hopped (IE his are better than mine, but pop numbers explain a lot). I'm hopeful T/C go astronomy forcing him to go astronomy to finally obsolete Magics stupid Collosus build.  

Why is Migs army shown you may ask? Well mainly me wondering if for some absurd reason that would never be allowed, I had one land outlet if I could pivot and conquer Mig. I know its an absurd scenario that a map would ever be made to allow people a low # of land borders, but I can fantasize right?   Anyways, ya I 100% could, you know if T/C left me alone and I could bring troops from my Plemo border. I might still with the anti Gav force, but not a quick war. Now T/C MIGHT* leave me alone. They have a pretty tense Plemo border atm and like I said their naval situation should escalate pretty fast. Plemo and I actually have a more stable border. But if they see me "abandoning" them to Plemo to make myself stronger, they may decide that a completely undefended southern Mjmd who isn't helping them right at this second is too tempting.

SD sent fish for fish. So I once again am doing some scrambling of coastal forces. 

I keep waiting for T/C to declare war on Plemo. Plemo took a mainland Al city and has 1 rifle there. Surely, T/C have a random city raider mace to soften it up. 

This map has many many many problems. However, there is one part of this as far as I can tell random map that tickles my fancy every time. I know I've shown it before, but this really makes up for a surprising amount of my frustration with this map. I did end up whipping the monastery after the pic.

 I'm practically a green in this time period for multiplayer.        

Gav is cutting through Vanrober. If I were SD I would totally be preparing a large scale raid of Gavs coast right now, but some of his ships are vaguely hanging out kind of near me.

Demos because it tells a story. I'm not doing 100% this turn, but here is my 100% with what I believe is Plemos 100%.



Plemo just has SOOOO much population. Again, there is hope. A lot of that population is working Collosus coastal tiles. I did a quick count of cottaged tiles and he has about HALF of what I do (few more than half but very close). The other obvious advantage I have is Oxford peaking out in the screenshot there. My capital isn't a great early game capital and it has bad food, BUT its a late game monster of a commerce city and assuming we get to levees its going to be a site to show off.

Its late and I've played 1.5 hrs of civ..... I hope no one blames me for putting off rest of turn for a day. I've been forgetting to note turn I drafted cities and I'm not happy with myself about it. I also need to decide how much to abuse some cities.

AND I woke up at 5am due to sleep cry from my youngest (HE DOESN'T STAY UNDER HIS BLANKETS!!!!) and couldn't get back to sleep. But I got some good notes down this turn

So the key question is what is Plemo doing with 2,400 gold. Super paranoid upgrade money or actual upgrade money. It kind of looks like he upgraded some of his northern force. Unsure if that was to take 1 tile Al island or T/C threat; probably the former.

I'm reinforcing and staggering my norther stacks. So I'll basically have 3 stacks in range if he looks aggressive, but two of the stacks will be progressively farther back. Both to not escalate and just in case they are needed south with Gav again.

Due to spreading around drafting I'm down to 8 cities at size 10 or above and Plemo is now at 19 even with drafting. I don't know if anyone else has mentioned, but he is in serfdom which is helping his GNP and production numbers. I kind of forget I should be reporting better as there isn't one of the spam reporters active this game (I mean Mig is alive but not posting his usual amount).

Plemo turned on tech a little..... still saving.

Reason I played late and didn't roll the turn is I'm definitely not razing a Vanrober city and pillaging its improvements so Gav can't have it. Definitely not . Gotta do something to get him back right? Is it the smart thing to do? Probably not. But it wasn't smart of him either. I unfortunately am poorly prepared for said plan. So for instance I have 1 trireme vs maybe 1 from Van (if he notices), but I can land on a hill tile if not. 2nd galley is lagging behind.

But main reason I'm reporting is while I'm 95% SD ISN'T attacking me (he would have held the turn to get 2nd), this kind of thing still causes me to be inefficient and worry. Again, he COULD easily go raze Gavs Heroic Epic city, but nope threaten me. I did not want to draft Boston this turn..............

Who forgot to declare war before moving his galley to raze Vans city? I DID!!!! Not worth a reload if it would even warrant one. Razed a town and a winery. Winery  I realized Mig would get, but good he wasn't helpful with stone recently.'I'll get my impi out next turn but I landed the 2nd rifle on the gold to pillage it. There is a chance he just razes. He razed the city near Mig. I started a settler just in case.

Stone you say? What does Mjmd need stone for? Everyone will know next turn, but I'm going for Amicas PB59 engine of Kremlin plus Cereal Mills. Do I have time to get the engine going though? I may end up using a great person on Kremlin. I'm debating depending on time, but stone would help that debate a lot...... MAP BALANCE!!!! Both Mig/Ginger and Jowy playing as Amica denied my request (both past suppliers for other projects).

Plemo seems to have been building up gold to obsolete Colossus finally. I'm curious if navy upgrades are due.

SD hasn't played yet. D&D or declaring war? Lets find out. Vanrober looks like he choose to use his last strength on SD instead of Gav. SD mind you was stupid enough to walk into it. He could have waited. I had trouble with 3rd draft this turn, because I wanted it to be SOMEWHERE down south, but none of them were great candidates. For that matter I drafted my Maoi city first, because that was the easier choice. I ended up drafting a norther city.
