They said that they would just want to play on after punishment--that forfeits any right to compensation alone. It's their fault for not complaining.

Sullla doesn't want any compensation, since he doesn't want his win to be tainted by accusations it only happened because of the comp. He's right to refuse it to maintain whatever dignity this game still has left.

That makes sense. Thanks for explaining. I am still hoping that this game will emerge from this cloud relatively unscathed and deliver the classic that I believe would have happened had no cheating taken place. The Khmer/Kongo team might have been doing even worse, of course, but that's okay, since the sheer amount of detailed reporting and effort invested alone has been impressive and I think it will be a real treat for the players to read postgame if this continues.

The plan of gifting new cities to Russia and back to get extra tiles seems a little cheesy. I suspect city gifting between team-mates may have to be banned in future team games to avoid this sort of thing.

I don't understand why Khmer can keep the trader until the road is complete. Wasn't the trader bought with cheated gold? And the city is getting the yield bonus from it as well.

I think Cornflakes mentioned that the trader can't be deleted while it's on an active trade route.
