The northern barb is going in. I've whipped an axe, which I prepared when I first saw the barb. I do think that my city is not in danger, but at the same time I don't want the barb to pillage my stone. Now this will delay the settler for the 6th green dot city by a few turns, but I think it's worth it.
As you can see the southern barb also turned back to my border. I do hope that he may go for my scout, which would have a decent 70% chance of winning on a forested hill. As you can see I also moved the warrior in CommandoPygmies back to my capital, because I need him there for happiness. CommandoPygmies won't be in danger as I can whip an axe there.

Scout revealed another seafood down south. Nice, now how to best settle that. And as you can see I will whip the axeman to defend CommandoPygmies. Oh and Mjmd settled his 5th city, now where could that be.
Oh, Mjmd that was a mistake. Do I have to mention that my newest micro plan has the title "war"? Good that I connected horses just this turn and that the axeman from BerserkHalfling just took care of the barb there.

Quick early planning gives me:
1 axeman
1 spearman
1 chariot
all on the tile 1SE of Salmon ready to attack in T64.
Salmon will grow in T63.
My chariot could attack Salmon as early as T62.
Purple dot will be settled in T64

That's ... interesting.
FWIW, where's the half-way line between your capitals? I feel that a robust response is pretty much justified, simply as a lesson not to plant forward cities on flatland, and there is no way you can let him deny you that pig, but it's a pain having to spend hammers on war this early. Is it possible to get another chariot out? - speed, and being able to cross the river to attack, could be critical, more so than having a spear there.
It may have looked easy, but that is because it was done correctly - Brian Moore

It's almost exactly the half-way line, 1 tile across it. The spear has already 27 hammers in, so no reason to stop it. I had a closer look and I should be able to bring the axe from CommandoPygmies with me, if the barbs play nice. 2 more chariots would be in attacking range in T66.
Now I've checked the numbers again. If he's running floodplains his city is at pop 2 in T63 like I said. If he starts improving the pig next turn, he will be at pop 2 in T62. If he connects the pig my plan is to move my chariot on the hill. Maybe I can lure him into whipping a spear that way, which could be better handled by my axeman.

Now this is getting even more interesting. I thought about moving in with my warrior, but I looked at the odds for the barb and they were so low, that he wouldn't damage Mjmds warrior enough, so that my warrior would have amazing odds against his. So I retreated my warrior.
Monotheism is up next turn and nobody founded Judaism, which is great so far. Meanwhile the war effort continues. Now one thing I haven't mentioned so far is that I will build The Great Wall in CommandoPygmies (finish at T65). My reasoning for this is the following:
- I have stone, so it's a quick build
- Less competition for it
- I think I will have to deal with a lot more barbs in the near future.
- With the barbs out of the picture I can put more pressure on Mjmd if need be
- Maybe I get a Great Spy for my first great person.
- More Great General points are nice.
- More culture in CommandoPygmies is also nice if it does not become the holy city.

There's another thing with Mjmds forward settlement that I find strange and that is the fact that he only brought a warrior for defense. He must have copper connected by now, right? Looking at his power graph it does not look like he has any axeman or spearman. Very strange.

He's treating you like an ai. Don't let him get away with it!
I'll echo STs suggestion of putting the chariot in a position to attack without the river penalty. It'd be great if you could time it to hit him after he grows but before a whipped unit can appear.
Also if you can spare four workers you could bring your 1-movers straight into the chariot-captured city for defence.

Positioning the chariot in that way is no problem and I will do that. The timing will depend a lot on him being able to improve the pig, but there's definitely the possibility to hit him, when he grew. It's also very unlikely that he pops borders before I can attack.
Unfortunately I can't spare four workers as I only have 3 right now. I know I need more in the near future, but for now every city has enough improved tiles to work.
Well maybe the barb will take care of the whole issue, which would be very anti-climatic.

The turn started with this. Well at least he acknowledges that I'm not happy with his settlement. Of course I had to reject it, if I want to attack in the next 10 turns. Just to be sure he gets his message accross I got two more identical offers It's also worthwhile that he is lower in power then me, so I doubt that there are any units coming my way and even so the chariot will be whipped next turn and the northern axeman can be in DiplomatKobolds next turn if need be. At least now I don't need to think about which half of the turn I want, because now I'm in the second half.
I start with the good news. I've got Judaism and it even was founded it a city I would have liked it in. That means that BerserkHalflings borders will pop to the 3rd ring in 20 rings and with that I get access to ivory N of BerserkHalfling.
The next bit of news is that I looked at what Mjmds worker. I already checked last turn and he already stated roadwork there as you can see from the signs. This also means that there is no city on those tiles and Salmon is definitley isolated.
Lastly some bad news. The southern barb decided not to attack my axeman, which is annoying as because of that this axeman can't participate in an attack in the early T60s. I've also updated my microplan and will start a road on the floodplain 1W of the horse of DiplomatKobolds. With that road I can attack Salmon in T63, so 1 turn earlier.
But the news don't stop here:
As you can see I got graphs on Jowy and because of that I switched espionage back to Mjmd as he could easily remove my graphs on him in the next turns. Speaking of him...
This is how our power graphs look.
