Look on the plus side: That solves the dilemma about who to name him after. Er. Yeah.

True.
Obviously the correct answer was to name it after Commodore and hope it got his luck wink

Anyway, I played out the turn (after a brief panic attack at losing our GG). Crabs went down easy to a shock chariot and I promoted one of our red-lined impi to Cover to take out the wounded archer:

This city has some infrastructure: Granary & Lighthouse both. If we don't want this to be our capital we're going to have to whip it down when White Castle falls.

I took out India's galley, as Ostrogoths met it's end in the shores outside Flight of Fancy. The Visigoths were there to clean up the Indian survivors.

Then I moved up on MS in the south:

MS is defended by 2 archers, both now at 15% fortify bonus. We should be able to blitz through that with 6 units.

Our 1-movers also advanced on SM, and we had an impi move close to spy the city's garrison:

Shouldn't be any trouble, unless I keep playing the turns wink

Then in the north, things got complicated:

My solution was to pull back the troops, and leave a pair of empty galleys as a front line. Thank goodness it wasn't 1 tile farther back or we would have lost axes next turn. Our galleys are now like so:

I think we need to zerg down the trireme if it stays in open water. If it moves into GA then we move our boats 1W of the corn so it can attack GA from both directions. If the trireme stays in the city, it will die when the city falls by amphibious assault.

No new units appeared after ending turn.

What parallel universe are we in where it is pindicator that loses our GG?! That evens out our RNG luck, I guess.

Anyway worst case we just take out GA first in the north or go around the south side. We can always land the units if we run into any more triremes.

I keep telling you guys, I'm only cursed against Commodore, I'm fine everywhere else lol.

Everything looks good. Sorry I wasn't able to be around. I'm pretty nervous about them pumping Triremes out of their east side. That could make capturing FG be pretty nasty.

I'm ok with ignoring FG and just capturing the main island. We can then tech Metal Casting and finish the job.

We could potentially ignore triremes and run past them and land units.

One bad break here - I'm pretty sure WC will fall before we can get FoF out of revolt and at a higher pop than the Hindu city. So I don't think we can get the palace jump to go to the right place.

Maybe Commodore will leave us be for his amusement (destroying other civs)

Looks like two more whips from Jester. We keep thinking there must be a city we don't know about, but i don't see where it would be. They left a couple good spots open on the main island too.

If Nakor waits to end turn until late tonight we may need a pause. Or i can get up early and play but honestly there are enough moving pieces that i will want to confer with scooter before making any move (especially with that trireme).

I mean, we could just look at their diplo screen one of these days to get our answer. lol

I'm sort of hoping that our early turn play will force them to actually end turn today. I will be around tonight around roughly 10-11PM EST. So if the turn has been ended by then, we could chat through it then.
