Turn 118
Hoo boy. So let's start with the foreign news, because this one is a doozy. So recall yesterday's post:

Yep. And of course the religion civic wonder (by a guy who doesn't have a religion) was built in one of those two border cities mackoti just captured, so mackoti now owns the wonder. Words fail me. I genuinely don't know what to say. We are literally on the opposite side of the world and I've been predicting this for a dozen turns now, but apparently MH didn't see it coming. Welp, nicely done by mackoti. ANYWAY. For those who care about city screen stuff, last night pindicator and I briefly chatted over the tile management (and the Bulldogs build) of the western trio of cities, and we shuffled things around. Here's what we ended up going with:
We need another worker, so giving the rice back to Pirates and going with a hammer config at Bulldogs was what we went with. Here's my favorite thing right now. Pindicator already mentioned this so I'm not telling you anything new, but:

Trollolololol? So let's talk about island dotmapping:

I went ahead and named the island "NFC North" because the NFC North is a fun 3-team battle right now, and it looks like we'll be placing 3 cities on it. Anyway, this is of course subject to change depending on what we find in the northwestern fog, but any thoughts on how to dotmap this? Above is my initial stab at it after like 5 seconds of thinking. And now that I actually look at it critically, I notice a grassland tile is wasted on the eastern side of the island, and I don't think that's really acceptable. Although I don't see a super obvious way to correct it that doesn't end in us settling on a grassland tile and wasting it that way regardless. We could stretch this into 4 cities I suppose. Anyway, I'm open to thoughts and suggestions. Here's the victory screen:

Ichabod/wetbandit top the charts for population. They have some rather well-grown cities:

They're doing very well, aside from giving Plako GLH routes for free :P.
