Won't mess them up much. I actually took this into account when building the latest worker plan. As for the spreadsheets, HV will probably need to change anyway; we'll probably want to whip the Globe ASAP, even at a huge penalty. (If we wait until T155 to revolt though, we should probably whip the pike next turn, overflow into the Globe, then whip the Globe ON T155. I think.) It will impact the Settler at Fierias, but I'm not sure how - depends on how much and how soon we draft there. The main impact on Smith will be if we draft it, in which case its builds will probably need to change.

Eight turns later, on our last turn of GA, we can revolt to Rep/Nationalism/SP/??

I actually moved that road a bit so that we could station cannons and other units that could reach either city between turns. If you have other suggestions for civics, let me know.

I haven't looked at the region in any depth - I just know we need more roads down there. I can't make any specific suggestions for civics or anything else until I know on which turn we'll actually revolt, but the ones you suggested sound fine. If we really want to go all-out for hammers/military, we can go to Merc instead of FM during the GA for an extra 1-2 base hammers in every city, though it's a shame to have to do so without Rep. Ending civics can wait until closer to the time.

The new location goes NE-NE-NE instead of NE- E to connect up. Same 6 moves between cities, but it keeps our flexible stack farther from the front, where they can not be 1 moved my cavs.
The Jungle at Ornata is a mixed blessing. It prevents the city from being 1 moved by mounted units, but it also means they can move a rifle stack into it. We either need to chop the jungle and put a whole bunch of rifles in the city, or we'll need to defend the jungle, possibly with a few Woody Rifles on top of the stack.
Thundara... in hindsight, maybe should have been founded 1W on the hill for defense, especially considering the cultural pressure Mali is putting on it with their Sistine bonus. If push comes to shove, that city is expendable. The other cities are not.
Also, email came in from Morgan that he can play the turns while I'm gone, so hopefully between the 2 of you we're in good hands.
It's entirely possible that an attack never comes, especially when they find out that Ottos have switched sides and they are liable to a 2 front war.
Oh, and next time one of us is in game, we should get a screenie of the power screen and post it. Aztec power shot up a hell of a lot last turn. This was BEFORE the drafting, so they probably spend a whole bunch of money upgrading obsolete units I'm guessing.

Just to let you know, my father passed away yesterday. I'll be starting the 20hr drive to Florida in an hour or two. I probably won't have internet access for a while, and, frankly, that's the least of my worries at the moment.
I won't even be ruturning to Illinois till the 8th of next month, as my 5 day berevement leave takes me right up to when my vacation starts.
I'll try to log in occasionally and answer questions, but right now, this game is low on my list of priorities till the 9th or 10th.

Don't try too hard. If you find it's therapeutic for whatever reason, go for it, but don't feel remotely obligated.

Well, considering I was looking at being here for 3 weeks without internet at all, I got my own personal hotspot now. NOT for this game, just because I needed internet. Still, I'm not going to be playing turns till further notice.

LURKERS!!!
As posted in the IT thread, I'll be leaving town on Thursday, and won't be back until quite late on Monday. Depending on what happens between now and then, I should be able to leave highly detailed instructions (and our civ's password) here in the thread, so that even a totally spoiled lurker can play a turn or two for us without making any actual decisions (thereby preventing spoiler info from being relevant). Of course, we might not need anyone if Memphus can't get his copy of Civ working and Shoot the Moon can't get off of his diplo screen, but in case it comes up ... any volunteers?

Chatted with Carthage for a few minutes yesterday. The important details: They triggered a GA this turn, they will do Communism, and it's actually due in 8t by his math, with like 100 beakers to spare.
I still think we should wait till next turn to start our GA and start drafting, just to allow for a margin of error. That is all for now.

Manic, my sympathies to you and your family.
I'll be fully up to speed later today.
