Now you guys are just messing with me :neenernee.
TUrn 101: Ichabod is getting ready to go bonk some heads. I hope mine isn't one of them.
My first floating eye reveals two more good city sites, the faintest hint of Lewwyn's borders, and a badly injured elephant and gorilla limping back to Lewwyn's borders. Presumably captured. The gorilla means there must be jungle somewhere, and also that Lewwyn has a shot at the Menagerie.
Meanwhile, Ichabod is scouting my eastern border:

Turn 102: whipped my second adept. Poor Community Chest is down to size 2. Rosier will be ready for whipping next turn, and none too soon: Ichabod's power graph is getting scary.
I used my second floating eye mission to scout the central sea, but didn't count tiles and learned pretty much nothing new. One wasted recon mission . The stupid barbs are *still* building their fourth warrior .
In foreign relations news: Tholal declined my map trade. I proposed one to Ichabod this turn; I figure that if he agrees, he's not coming after me. It doesn't mean he's definitely coming for me if he declines, though. And, of course, a better map is always good.

What do people think is the right way to pronounce Rosier's name?
A. Rose Ear
B. Roe zheer (second syllable starts with the same sound as Jacques)
C. Rose Yay (for our Francophone friends)
D. Some other off-the-wall thing I never imagined
I started with B, but drifted to A. I love my phonetic spelling for C, but my French classes were a long time ago. Any D responses are clearly wrong, but I have to give every opportunity for [strike]spam[/strike] lurker input.
D.

Nah, not a drawl. Just a strong Hoser accent, eh.

That's basically "A- Rose Ear" isn't it? I'd pronounce Rose Ear and Rosy Er the same way.

Ros-i-er
if trying to form it out of actual words, Ross-seer would probably be closest (apart from containing way too many s')
mainly, short o, not the long one as in rose.

I think the only response to that can be: Take off! (cue Geddy Lee vocal)
I guess Rosier's name is more open to interpretation than I thought. But now I get to tell him what to do.
Turn 103 report: I didn't grab any screenshots, and I'm reluctant to replay the turn for fear of sending my floating eyes in slightly different directions and gaining some unearned map knowledge.
The eyes flew into the ice (AKA Great White North), and discovered some blizzards. I think this means that even if I scorch the ice, the blizzards can create it again.
Ichabod's Hunter is now Combat I and poisoned, so maybe he's hunting Scorpions for XP.
Barbs *still* haven't built the fourth member of their kill team.
Whipped Veil Temple and Rosier, as advertised. Rosier should be the strongest single unit on the board, but it's still pretty easy to mob him to death, as has been proven in several other games. I plan to use him defensively, so I'm hoping I can protect him. My whole military goal is just to have people conclude it'd be too much of a pain to attack me.
