As you can see, lots of immature cities and immature cottages.

Wait, what? How did I get up to #3 in GNP? A couple people must be running 0% on the slider right now, 'cause I'm pretty sure my economy is in dead last ...

The pitiful accumulated knowledge of my civilization. Probably Metal Casting next; no sense wonder-chasing when you're behind in tech, and I feel hammers-light right now (borne out by the demos).

I just switched to Organized Religion at the end of the turn. I should have switched to Judaism first for less upkeep in the interim, but I wasn't thinking. I should've checked if I could switch to Judaism right away, too - strangely, despite playing this game for many years, I don't remember: do the five turns of no revolutions apply to religions and civics simultaneously?

As for strategic direction, that's like asking me what I'm going to do after university (in a couple months) right now - I have nooooooo idea. I'm pretty much just bumbling about.

Sareln got MoM. I may have a city razed next turn if Azza's got anything on a galley near me. Guess it might be time to build some defences ...

This looks like a city that should get shanked eventually:

Here is my empire after coming back from our hiatus:

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by my tech and tech rate, though I'm waaaay behind on everything (including tech rate), especially expansion. Let's see if I can't dig myself out of this hole a bit ...

Whipped forges in a couple places; started a settler. Revolted to Bureaucracy (Spiritual), then one-turned Iron Working. Compass next for harbours, I think.

I took these images a couple turns ago for a t120 report which I haven't been able to post till now.

I founded a new city, my ... eighth including my capital. I neglected to check this embarrassing total against my opponents'.

Oops, I forgot to turn resource bubbles on. Those are fish 2S of Santiago.

Why am I always the first to build courthouses in my games? Coming onto RB, I thought I underemphasized them compared to most players.

Random question: has anyone ever done donut flavours for a naming scheme? Or varieties of cake? I need to go eat dessert ...

Anything anyone would like to see?

Not that I know of. But people have done foods.

Highest maintenance cost is 4 gold per turn. Building a courthouse only takes off 2 gpt. Generally a Grocer or Market is more useful

In this case, interestingly, the courthouse is generally better. It's far cheaper with the Org bonus, and my small number of cities lets me run the slider really high, meaning my cities aren't producing much of any gold to get multiplied. The courthouses actually have a greater economic impact than the markets in this case (though those have been and will be going up too).
