I reached merchant republic so I got some extra slots for cards, I went with an economy focused path for now.

I'm sorry for the dirth in reporting btw, but nothing at all is happening. It's boring even to play, I can't imagine how boring it would be to read.

This pretty much sums up the current climate for the last 30 or more turns:

rho and I have a battle line drawn up facing Suboptimals army and all three of us are upgrading our troops, no-one can move in for fear of ending up on the wrong end of a 2 v 1.

A barb-hunting knight stumbled upon a Tundra sneak attack force , the Archduke Doctrine in effect! I'm sorry they aren't pictured in the screenshot, I GTFO'd before I realised I should've snapped a pic. Just picture at least two knights and 2 muskets west of Tsingy. You'll also note my settler is just one turn away from founding a city. I'm redirecting some knights and Muskets to the area, I hope it'll be enough.



In happier news, I founded the city of Hamka's on the niter between me and rho, giving us an unpillagable sourse in our control!

Darted my knight forward to get a better look at suboptimals army. I retreated him behind the marble, he'll move into my new city next turn to boost the defenses...



Which reminds me! I have a new city I settled this turn.



I also upgraded enough Muskets for replaceable parts boost, I'll have all of them upgrades in a few turns (as you can see from my screenshots I'm making quite a bit more gold now with all my Mbanza finishing, neat)

Oh I just saw I didn't snap a pick of Rho's new city, Diocles, I'm thinking of retreating back to the mountain pass at Waffles and letting rho take the brunt of suboptimals forces. With Diocles positioning it's almost impossible for suboptimal to attack me there, the only front I'll have to worry about is my weak underbelly at Kapsalon, but I think I have enough troops to make that a very frustrating bottleneck for suboptimal.

Sorry for not responding here for long time, busy with work and less interest in playing civilization 6 past weeks.

Anyway, your situation do seem grim, you don't have defenders for Hamka and Kapsalon expect sole knight. Is it possible to build defenders/walls fast for Kapsalon?

Defenses at Hamka's aren't nessesary, rho renewed his alliance with us last turn, so we have 30 turns there. Same goes for the North at Waffles, which means I can use my entire army against Suboptimal at the new city (which still needs a name)

Well... the inevitable happened, he did drag in rho on my side though and I have a pretty sturdy line of units trickling into the area...



He will take Kapango though

Honestly I don't see why he thought now was the time, he has ballistics, so why didn't he upgrade to field cannons first? It's only 115 gold under proffesional army, which I know because I also have ballistics and am about to upgrade that crossbow at the front. He'll probably take this city and raise it but does he really think he can take me and rho on at the same time (you can even see rho's knights coming in in the north)? I doubt it.
