Aside from whipping Moai (we want it as big as possible for the golden age in 5 turns!!!!) it looks like a great turn thumbsup

There are some things I didn't think needed a sign.

Did you see that "whip t125" sign at Bills? That was me

Those are exactly the things that need to be signed. lol

Even Darrell has the signing stuff completely figured out.

However, our cities are grown vertically as well as anyone, and we have several spots still available to settle, so I'm content with where we're at. Anyway, I returned the southern NFC North galley back to Big East to pick up two workers. I want the northern galley to go check this out: horse island seafood/environs
I think you're at 14 cities including the cap, not 13. Did your list exclude capitals?

If you do find horse island environs to have a settling opportunity, when would you plan to get a settler there? I note you currently have no settlers in production.

I guess I need to sign when Moai is 2 turns away from completion through natural production, but we can whip at penalty to get it in 1 instead. Whipping that city didn't even cross my mind.

Yeah, we're really at 14 now.

I'm not as sure about settling that horse island as scooter is. It's a long way away so we will want units to go with the settler so it has a garrison in place. And any units and settler are going to have be built on the islands because the mainland needs to go full barracks & mace duty. I think our goal should be to gain 6-7 cities from Nakor's lands; that will keep us competitive with the leaders, or even propell us into the city lead. And it'll be better developed land.

And so what if we get beat to that spot by retep or WilliamLP? That's what zerkers on 4-move galleys are for. hammer

I did include capitals, I just somehow miscounted ours multiple times. I'm really not sure how you knew that right off the top of your head, that's pretty impressive. +5 cool lurker points to you. SPEND WISELY. Apparently if you save up enough of them you can make a dumb whipping mistake and nobody will blame you.

Pindicator - I'm not advocating settling it, I just want to know what's there because I imagine in the future we'll want to settle it because I doubt retep is taking it anytime soon. Or maybe WilliamLP gets to it, which, fine.

Turn 125

It's late, I'm tired, so report is going to be really brief.

Here's the city that it's totally pindicator's fault I whipped. I can't believe he didn't put a sign on this telling me not to whip a Moai city before a golden age. Started an archer for MP.

Hammers in from the chop outside the borders - the location we'll want to settle soon. I think ORG-powered Courthouse is probably best use of our hammers here, but feel free to veto.

Shrug, that settles that. Lewwyn is really going to have to leave us alone. I honestly don't think he can afford land war with us when his islands are going to be painfully exposed to our naval powers. Look at the sign NW of the city - THAT is the tile we could stage from to easily boat this city. Cities like this are totally indefensible for them. I'm not endorsing actually striking them - we want longterm peace with Lewwyn - I'm just pointing out that this sort of vulnerability is a nice way to ensure they'll want peace too.

More or less what I originally expected, which is why I figured you'd be sending a galley out scouting for a bit to see what map intel it can acquire, as per Scooter. Apart from 2 workers ferried to NFC North, it seems likely to be several turns before any other ferrying needs to be done, as Valiants is building work boats (courthouse? Both work boats are done?) and Boilermakers an MP unit for itself next, as mentioned; everyone else on the islands is new and building basic infrastructure. Any new settlements would need settlers, workers, and protection, all of which take time to build on top of current projects. Promoted maces from the islands would take even longer to be ready to get on a boat to the mainland.

When your comments earlier suggested you weren't going to be sending a galley scouting for a bit, I got a bit puzzled as to what you might be doing with the boats instead, which led to the questions regarding when and from where a settler would be produced. But letting the islands take care of themselves and any further island expansion, while the mainland focuses on the war prep as you suggested, seems like a natural division of labour. So one of the boats might as well scout and see what there is to see, as Scooter is doing.

Sounds reasonable. :)
