[PB27-SPOILERS] Yup, it's HAK here...no idea what I might do this time...

Hmm, actually just realized this as well right after I made my last post. I can whip the Barracks for non-30 overflow....and then put the chop for the full 30 into the Moai. Silly me. Will doublecheck with a sim later, but I'm certainly realizing that it makes no sense at all to use the whip & chop on the Barracks at all.

If the city has eg. 5 base production you want to get it to 50/60, then whip for 30*2 and you'll put 30*2 + 5*2 = 70 hammers into it getting you to 120/60 for max overflow.

Nope, you have the rule correct. I only got 1t worth of production overflow into the Eiffel Tower. It's just that 1t happened to be ~450h. shades

Yeah, there's no benefit to putting 120h into a barracks and then 10+ overflow into the Moai vs putting 65 into a barracks and 65 into the moai. What overflow is good for is building stuff now that you don't have access to yet, usually because of tech.

Wow, how'd you get 450h of overflow? I'm guessing that's from what I've seen people mention regarding overflow chains? I've never really understood those all that much. Maybe one of these days. LOL

what the heck did you build to get 450 of raw overflow?? did you do a resource-disconnection trick with a national wonder or something? But what wonder?

edit: wait, that was in your Ironworks city, right? I think I have a guess then...

So I'll give a better update later, but before I forget the details I've been noticing I wanted to post some of the things I've seen.
Wonders have been dropped pretty quickly recently. Quite awhile back (I may have already commented on this) Cheater Hater got the Hanging Gardends, and then Dtay go The Great Wall. Recently I've seen taotao got the MoM, and then after that plako got The Great Lighthouse (which I almost considered going after when I saw no one had gotten it yet), and most recently Ichabod appears to have gotten the Statue of Zeus.

Right now my only hope is to get a bunch of Swords (and other stuff) and in a few turns start building some Catapults....and then try to take a couple of those cities from TheWannabe that he settled close to me. I'll also have a couple more settlers over the next couple turns. One will definitely settle one of my northern sites. Depending on what TW does with this Settler (plus WC/Axe/Spear/Archer) that he's got sitting just northwest of his newest city by "MY" stone....I might send both my settlers north. Otherwise, one of them will just quickly get me the filler spot on my southern tip, just to get me more cities. Currently myself and Donovan are the only ones with 6 cities. Everyone else has way more than that. Elkad has 7, Nyles/Borsche/TW have 8, CH&Molach have 9, and everyone else has 10 or more. Commodore, taotao, & Barteq lead the way with 12 cities.

What's your economy like? Is your shrine paying its way still?

My economy is pretty good (I think), and the shrine is doing well. In fact, I think there were just 2 more spreads recently, since the last time I looked (and I think it was even within a turn or two) I was only getting 6gpt from it.

And now I'm getting 8. 4 of them are my cities (still annoyed that it hasn't spread to Turley yet, where I really need the culture) and then there were 2 I knew of for awhile of TW's cities (SA was his first spread, and then NG had gotten it a handful of turns ago).
If the two recent spreads are in cities of his (and not someone else), then I'm betting it spread to his capital and some other city that I can't see.
0% research gets me +58gpt right now, which I think is pretty decent.

Those marked units of TW's in the screenshot above were all sitting there last turn (they didn't move). I'm currently waiting to see where he moves them this turn. I'm half expecting him to move them SW to that hill right on my border. But I'm kind of hoping he remains along the coast of that lake there and settles north of those clams.
Twisted Oak just produced a Settler this turn, which will likely be used to settle a city for me on my C7 marked spot on T99. Next turn I'll be whipping another settler from the same city which can also settle a city on T99 in that SW peninsula filler spot. Or if TW hasn't settled a city blocking it, I may send it up to the C8 marked spot (or plant it on the tile SE of where I have marked).
But I might just do my filler regardless simply so that I'm up to 8 cities for TBS's desired T100 update. twirl

Trying to decide right now (will run a couple sims) if I'm actually going to have Turley start this worker this turn (it was working on a Library that I was going to 2pop whip on T97) or not. I want to get the jungle hill 1E of it and then the forest hill north of that both roaded as soon as possible. I'm amassing some troops on the jungle hill out of sight of TW, with the goal of being able to DOW and drop the stack right next to NG.
I want/need to hold off on going after ML until after it has had a population growth so that it does not autoraze. My plan for that area is to have some units on the tile 1W of Iron Horse, with a road there and then building a road N of it. So that units there ca move onto the hill SW of ML from the fog. That Sheep pasture became mine by culture almost exactly one turn after TW finished making it. So he essentially made a Sheep pasture for me. I'm sure he's not happy about that.

The timing of builds completing along with getting Construction will allow for Corison to finish it's Sword and immediately start on a Catapult, TO will finish it's Settler and immediately start on a Cat, and IH will finish it's Axe and immediately start on a Cat....all right on t97.

I offered OB to Adrien again (he declined my last offer), which I'm kinda hoping he'll accept this time now that he has a scout on my borders. Maybe he'll accept it so that he can go exploring my lands. I have a scout & chariot passing through Tsargon's lands, which I'd really like to be able to pass through Adrien when the meet him, as I'm guessing he is north of Tsargon. If he doesn't give me OB, that means I'll likely dead-end at his borders and not have the ability to meet anyone else on the other side of him.
Interestingly enough, though I haven't met them, I have trade routes with dtay, Ichabod, AT, and Molach. I don't know enough about the functionality of how a trade route is determined to know why I have trade routes with them. I think it means that they neighbor the other people that I've met whom I have routes available through.

I've been trying to think about what tech to go after when I'm done with Construction. Unless I can obtain OB with someone else that I have routes with (already have Tsargon), then Currency won't give me a huge boost yet. So I'm considering going HR to get Horchers. Or even going for Machinery. Machinery will get me one step closer to Optics to see what that land to my SW is, and will also get me Xbows. And if need be, the ability to go for Engineering (what with Tsargon having Immortals all around me).

Well phoey....Krill has already attacked TheWannabe. And with MASSIVE forces compared to what TW has.

That's just what I can see. I'm sure there's more than even that. If he is actually numbering his units like that as he builds them, then he has/had at least 11 Horchers. If I remember correctly, TW had an Axe/Spear/Archer/Worker all on that Stone. So Krill killed all those. There was an Archer on the hill west of the city that my Scout is currently on, and he killed that. And there was only a single War Chariot inside the city that would have been an easy kill. I can't believe he left a city with basically no defenders on Krills border. WTF?!?!
He also only has a single Axe inside V.Cholera, which is a city I wanted to try to get. And I'm not ready to move in yet, since I haven't had time to get workers in place to build the roads I need at Turley. So Krill is looking like he's going to roll through every city of TW's, if the rest of his defenses are like this. Which means I need to try to move up my attack to take the city north of Turley, or find a way to head straight to Cholera and try to get it before Krill does.
But moving up my attack means that I'd need to move forward with my Swords/Axe/Holkan/Chariot by moving it next to his borders where he'll see them before I can attack. Or I'll have to send my workers that were going to mine/chop around Concannon to help get out my Moai over there to get the road built ASAP. And then they can go back to help at the Moai city. Hmm, yeah that's probably what I'll have to do. Also means my troops would have to move forward without the Catapults I'll be starting next turn, but that just may be needed to try to get one or two of these cities before Krill. Sad part is, I think a good portion of TW's military is in my NW where he's been sending them with these settlers to keep expanding. So while Krill seems like he'll easily be able to take cities left and right, I'll probably have to fight through blood and tears.

Travelling this weekend, at in-laws today and headed to my parents tomorrow for a family early Thanksgiving dinner. So no sim'ing time available to see what happens if I change up my worker actions and/or switch builds to military more useful in a quicker assault. And likely won't be able to play until late tomorrow. Right now I just have to hope that Krill doesn't come straight after the cities near me, but instead spends a bunch of turns taking his northern and eastern cities. He'll get the good capital city for sure, but I at least need to be able to get Cholera as a dividing city between us. And then be able to take the new cities he has settled near me.
