[Spoilers] Dreylin & Grimace TOW the line

That, plus scoring every meaningful first-to bonus... hatsoff

Anyway, they're not alone; fennbandit, Haram and Tsargon all built/conquered another one this turn, and here's Tsargon about to grab his Barbs:

Which will let me pass by as well. yup Our 8th plants in 2t.

I do need to work out where to build the next one; Kettle is taking some time off to build Granary and grow - although I may put that on hold to get a second city across the straight since Haram canceled OB this turn. Makes sense since he's now got his own city offshore to get the the better routes. Have enough coming in from Tsargon at the moment to keep the mainland maxed, though he might cancel as well.

And here's confirmation there's a gap in the intermediate island string:

But only one:

Planted Dishwasher:

Next Settler is cooking in Waffle Iron, and Kettle will switch once the WB for the SE Fish is complete.

Tsargon's latest city is a might antisocial:

I don't think we'll be living with that for very long. :Hammer

Oh, and we met Scipio's Warrior passing Tsargon's burn Barbarian city (and spotted his borders to the SW of Silk):

Oh yeah, and TBS build the Pyramids... eek

Regarding the Pyramids...damn. I guess he put that stone to good use.

As far as Tsargon, yeah, that's just being obnoxious...I wonder why he settled like that so early? There's no resource reason to do so...in fact if he doesn't have IW it's going to be a fairly lame city.

Well, what he gets is good defensive terrain to walk a stack on up to Oven. It's also a decent canal and the only way to get use from the Bananas for a good long while. Or it may be defensive; he's seen us expanding enthusiastically and wants to head us off from planting there ourselves. Though I'm sure there are better spots remaining he could have put his 5th city!?

Aaaand, I Just thought to check: it is the only spot that can be planted between our city and his. A Galley is high on the list for the North, so once it's done a bit of ferrying I'll bring it down this way and see how things look.

TBS is the other IND, so Pyramids was probably his plan from the get-go, but yeah that's an early one and the Stone will sure have helped.

Also, since I'm travelling tomorrow and may miss a turn, I'll leave some extra notes in-game incase I need to ask you to play a turn. (This game isn't as far along as PB28 though, so playing after the drive won't be as daunting!)

Ugh, Wife & kids are I'll so I've been looking after them this morning. 2mins peace for some stream of consciousness thoughts about the current situation:

Tsar gin has a Phalanx scouting through - I've been following with an Axe just to keep an eye. I think it's heading out to the NW, so the Axe could stay at Waffle Iron or return to Kettle.

Check the Power ratings and the logs - Haram rolled the turn but didn't play, so he may be at war / planning for it. GJoey has whipped a lot recently, so they might be going at it. Also nervous about Tsargon. TBS probably isn't planning anything, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be opportunistic if given an opening.

2Settlers - one to go across to the South, the other for the Sheep/FP spot. Not sure which is which - base it on which can get to the Sheep first, since I think both will make it to the Island at the same time. I am vacillating on which spot to plant next across the straight - either the Gens/Pigs spot or the PH Fish. I think the Pigs/Gems is better, but I have the WB ready for the Fish. I'd not complain either way. The Worker 1W of the PHF needs to stop roading and move to the hill to chop before the Settler arrives. There's also a worker to chop the Sheep spot.

Worker in the NW needs to finish the cottage at WI (if not already), then Farm the grassland 2S1E of Coffee Maker. Workers in the middle need to add some cottages at Toaster - in the overlap with Dishwasher and Sheep/FP.

WI & Oven should be on Barracks then units - probably Axes for now, but add a Spear if/when Haram or Tsargon show up with Horses to trade. Kettle wants to grow, then another Settler. Toaster should grow, then pause on Workers when maxed.

Don't be afraid to whip the new cities (standard BTS multi-whip, not RtR). Fridge probably wants to 1pop whip the Library at the last minute into overflow. Once that's complete will probably be the time to turn on tech again for the Currency run.

I may have a way to log in for a short while this evening, but PB28 would be the priority so I might not get to this. I have phone internet, so should be able to respond fairly reliably I you have questions. Thank in advance for helping!

Just FYI I won't be able to play the turn tonight -- it'll have to wait until tomorrow morning. I'll post in the main thread to let them know as well.

No worries, and thanks for taking this on. I really didn't expect to not be able to play otherwise I'd have planned out more carefully. frown

Turn 78

Settler was built at WI, but the one at kettle won't finish until the next turn. I put a Barracks in the queue at WI and moved the settler from WI to Kettle as that was as far as it could go. Next turn they can split up and go their separate ways.

I moved the exploring work boat around the land to the NE, which is what I think you intended. And I think we found Jowy...though he and Borsche are really close together in color.

I wasn't sure exactly what your worker micro plan was, so I moved one worker down so that he can start pasturing the sheep for the sheep city. The other worker that just finished working on the deer tile I moved one west to chop/cottage the riverside overlap tile between Toaster and Dishwasher.

Haram has horses on his diplo window right now, but we didn't have any units building this turn, so I put a spear in WI after the barracks. Didn't whip any cities this turn, but 'fridge should whip the Library next turn. What do you think of having Kettle whip the axe, as well? It's at max happy right now, and will grow a size in 8 turns after the settler finishes.

Logs didn't show anything...here's the demos and power:

Looks like everyone's power is increasing, especially GJ's.

I rolled the turn, but didn't play, so I could consult with you before doing any more.

Sounds good. IMO Kettle grows too slowly for whipping to be really worthwhile. There's a Farm building to help that, probably want to add another ghill mine afterwards. The Silver comes online soon as well to raise the happy cap.

It should be Jowy to the North of us (based on the tech thread / reload mess with GJoey.

Power graph doesn't look as bad as I thought, so no need for drastic actions I think.

Kettle finished an axe and I put a spear into the queue -- 2 turns. Settlers moved closer to their new spots...Sheep/FP will be there in 2 turns. City across the water will be ready next turn (dropped off the settler), but it'll be another turn before the worker finishes chopping the forest there.

Confirmed it is Jowy to our north. Sorry, busy day so I just had to get the turn in, so not much time to talk, but really not much happened. Workers are getting new city sites ready. smile
