So, i popped a golden age.

Goal: Pop out as many Elephants and catapults as possible, and dare Pindi to hit me. Also, teching full speed towards Crossbows! Might get there right at the end of the golden age...

That fights looks positively brutal for us.

Agree with the decision for a golden age. If you can get to machinery now instead of much later that improves your position more than an academy that can be captured by pindicator before the long run kicks in. Unless anyone else joins in we are in a war for survival against a civ that has 50% more land than us and a fantastic economy from Pro and Carthage. Are they still trading with Pindi after he has gotten his combo rolling BTW?

roughly 4t till Machinery. Counting a turn more of gold saving unless some people decide to help us out with some gold donations..


Oh yeah, they are most certainly STILL TRADING with Pindi of Pro Carthage.. who is going to end up with 3 civs worth of land, TGLH, and the Mids. But dont worry, they wanna grow their cities just a hair taller... smoke

Speaking of smoke  Where do i plant a city that can work the iron and not be complete crap? Feels like a crab/clam would have been great off that coast. Only gets worse when i look at other's Iron tiles and what easy cities they can plant for them... and feed them... neenerneener

You can get a decent city 1 N of iron after CS. Before that, no.

Hopefully machinery will arrive in time to stabilize our position. With it we should be able to kill any army that advances towards us on flat ground until he gets knights or overwhelming numbers.

Also while im on the subject of ranting...

Popped borders, still no culture beyond 2 tiles around me to the east. So even if i somehow razed that city of Cairo's, i wouldnt get trade routes thanks to Pindicators easy as shooting fish in a barrel noob kill which has sealed off the entire area. GKC you are a wonderful mapmaker, but Please. Tell me if you are going to do this type of border/thing so that next time i can just resign from the game before i start getting feelings of potentially getting a win.

smoke Pindi is going to head towards i assume knights, but Elephants + catapults kinda do the same thing... and ill have plenty of those ready. Maybe he will head for caravels and try and take the seas back? Cuz im fixing to blockade him back, which sadly... WONT DO ANYTHING TO HIS ECONOMY... thanks to the map design. twirl

That island should've been a land bridge, it would've fixed a lot of issues. MY fear was that pindicator would've been really blocked in then, but really, he wouldn't have been any more surrounded than he already is. You're in the situation I was in in PB44.

Just wish trade routes, and Culture both acted better. Both are confusing to me, and both tend to piss me off at the worst of times. Other than being boxed in, having a gandhi for a neighbor, and the itty bitty iron city debate, i DID enjoy this map. Wasnt super lush like some other maps that have been created lately... shhh  But also wasnt so barren that it was a chore to play. 6/10 would attempt again.
