That's the spirit, Yuri! Too bad you weren't doing this 5 turns ago, but at least you can make the islands tough to conquer
If I'm Yuri I just whipped caravels in every city. That would be the best thing he could do to defend his islands.

Well I got bored waiting for Pindicator to show up, and since Yuri had already played, I decided to at least take out Korhal. That way too I don't have to worry about him telling me to raze my precious...
I started promoting one of the cats to Barrage 2, but then realized that promoting one to accuracy and bombarding was probably a good idea - so I did that, which dropped the defense from 20% to 4%. I sent in one Barrage 2 cat, which gave our Combat 3 knight 88.8% odds, so I sent him in.
Next another Combat 3 knight at 89.6% - another win
Combat 2 knight @89.1% - loss. I knew my "good luck" could not hold....
I sent a wounded C2 knight in from Matt Foley to clean up one of the longbows @ 93% and he won to get up past 10XP, and then cleaned up with a knight out of Roseannadanna and
It has a granary and forge
I haven't decided to keep it or not at this point so if you're around you can weigh in

Scooter also weirdly offered us a trade of nothing on his side for 550g, rice and spice. I assume he is countering our 450g trade. I suppose I'll offer him a trade for 501 and see how it goes

That's Pindicator "specializing" our cities. Those are commerce cities, though there are a few "mfg" spots.
Personally I think he is over-estimating commerce cities but shhhh don't tell him

Well I had to get offline and eat dinner, so I kept it. (But it really is a bad city). I renamed it "WildCrazyGuys"

I would have replanted it 1W most likely.

Yeah we talked about inplace vs. 1W and 2W. In the end though saving 100 hammers + granary + forge won the day (at least for me)...

Guess what I was telling Rego to do earlier in the day?
Edit: Not that it really matters much. The city is going to suck no matter where you put it - with how it is now I'm thinking we build it a lighthouse and have it bring in a middling amount of commerce. Actually, this wouldn't be a bad spot for us to pump some missionaries when we need them
