Turn Discussion Thread

Agree with S-SW for the scout next turn. I think there are hills S and SW of the forest SE of the deer, but we can probably move W-SW on T12. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another food resource to the SW of the gold, anyway.

Should we go deer first or sheep first next turn? I think Mortius deer plan is a little stronger, but there isn't that much of a difference between them.

*sheesh* We haven't scouted the area to our east or to our south yet!

Yeah, forgot to put that question in my post. I meant to ask the same thing. I never saw any discussion or final decision on what we are going to do with the worker next turn. I'm not good at that type of city micromanagement and I don't do sims. So I'll leave all that complicated stuff to you guys. You just tell me what to do with the workers. smile

I vote for moving the scout SE, SW.

Only my last sim (Oracle plan) was checked and tweaked past 45 turn. If you want to use one of my earlier sims I can not guarantee that you don’t encounter any glitches like failing one food or one hammer short some time after 45 turn.

I think SE-SW limits our mobility on the next turn, and I'm concerned that we are scouting farther afield while there is territory much closer to home that is completely unknown.

Also, I don't think anyone even acknowledged my earlier suggestion that we send our warrior to scout just outside our Southern and Eastern borders.

Fair enough. If we go SE-SW we can swing back closer on the next turn. smile

Could do that, though it'd be a little risky. We'll have a new Warrior pretty soon though, so perhaps it would be okay.

Next turn has been played. Moved the scout SE-SW, and in doing so found a Marble by the water.

Moved the worker onto the Deer, which will start building the Camp next turn.
After ending the turn, I switched the city to start working the Sheep while we improved the Deer:

And that gives us the following demographics:

Warrior movement for next turn is obvious...he'll continue SE. I agree that he should just continue on past the city to explore to the south. We'll have the new warrior a few turns after he passes by the city.

The scout I'm thinking the best path is to go SE-SW again. That is a hill he'll move onto. The turn after that we can then decide which path to take back towards the west to uncover those tiles south of the gold.

I forgot to set it in the queue before I exited the game, but I assume we'll be starting up the Bronze Working next for research?

What plan do you follow here?

Improving Deer first gives us an opportunity to switch to Bronze Working for 2 turns and then completing Animal Husbandry. That temporary tech switch costs us nothing (we still finish Bronze Working on the same turn with exactly the same beakers), but can mess with our oponents C&D.

I think he's following this one. Maybe we should have a separate thread with clear instructions on what to do every turn - with instructions edited as we optimize our sims - so we don't mess anything up.

Fair point. We just have to remember to switch our research back when the time comes. smile
