btw, at 100% science, my GNP is 90, but I'm still 3rd. It seems there are 2 economy leaders, probably Furungy due to Fin and good score and Bacchus (?) due to GLH. Others are down.
Anyway, it's rather good for me: soon I would have financial boom, dominate others in techs, while being solid enough in prod & food, while (it seems) other economy leaders have less potential
Myki have sent 4th of 5th open borders trade request. While having an island (soon two) cities, I declined. But now send an offer open borders + fish, gems (I have both resources doubled) vs ivory (he has only 1).
Am I correct, that he would recieve only 1 foreign oversea trade?
He'll probably get a 3 gpt trade route for each of your island cities and a 2 gpt route for each of your mainland cities. Your island cities will get 3 gpt trade routes with him while your mainland cities won't benefit. So it'd be a pretty level deal if it was only the two of you playing.
But it's not just you two playing - you want to improve your position compared to six other players, so even if the deal was weighted against you I'd still recommend taking it - sure you're helping out your closest neighbour, but he's not a threat anymore is he? Once you've met other players I'd close borders with him again.
He managed to recover. His total number of cities is 6, while I have 7 (soon 8); prod is nearly equal; food is significantly worth ~95 vs ~70; my GNP at collecting is nearly his at science (though I have more culture).
If nothing extreme happens he's doomed, yes. But still he would be rather tough target, unless visible iron is the only available at the continent.
But still +1 (+2 gpt) vs +7(+8 gpt) isn't a good deal for me, just for that low +1 or +2. Having excess luxury resource could help though. At least until calendar.

Ah, I didn't realise you don't have currency yet. Yeah, you need to meet someone else and get open borders with them instead!

P.S. I really don't have ideas why Myki declared so stupidly. Maybe he thought he would be able to burn a new city of mine w/ only archer and immortal at garrison? It seems he's mistaken. And all those local conflicts are far better for me, then for him, due my traits.

He has 6 cities and it seems he's on another continent, so at least +6gpt next turn! It seems even more. It's rather crucial 'cause inflation began. And I'm at zero balance only at 30% science.
