No worries, we're doing a lot of stuff too. Since you played both turns, I /should/ be able to pick up the next turn when I'm home tomorrow. Will let you know if I need another assist!

t80 - 82
I got back before the turn rolled, so I took a look around and switched a few things up: mostly dialing back on the number of Military builds for a Settler in Kettle and a Worker in Fridge. I also switched a couple of tiles around and realised that I could get Currency in 6t and had enough in the bank to do so, so I turned on research. Wasn't sure whether I'd have to back that off again once the new cities were settled, but started anyway.
Got TBS's graphs on t81 and his Power is spiking, so I added back a few Military builds and sent the Axe from Kettle to the South. OTOH, Scipio agreed to OB and this was what greeted me:
That's 4 Axes in view, with another standing 2S of the Warrior. Tsargon had a Phalanx at the border, so maybe it's that or maybe Scipio is just paranoid. If he has a spiking Power, maybe that's what is provoking TBS. Either way, a second Galley is probably in order next from Kettle.
You can also see the effects of the new cities on Research; Currency now due in 3t! Although in foreign news, Jowy already has it! Maybe he'll beat us to Code of Laws as well.
Oh, and GJoey is at 12 cities already, when we have just planted our 9th & 10th!?

I've also been looking at this and trying to work out if there's something sensible I can do with this:
Great Merchant Bulb list:
Currency
Banking
Economics
Corporation
Metal Casting
Code of Laws
Mining
Constitution
The Wheel
Alphabet (BTS)
Pottery
Sailing
Paper
Railroad
Industrialism
Monarchy
Civil Service
Guilds
So if I research MC & Alphabet, then I can bulb CS. Now the question is, do I want to...?
Or, I build the Forum, accelerate the Merchant and bulb CoL, but that seems like a waste of potential. Maybe get a Scientist (out of Fridge?) first and then accelerate the Merchant out for the potential CS Bulb?

TBS declared on Jowy, which means that my North and South neighbours are at war acrodd the world wrap. This could be bad news if one conquers the other - OTOH it could create an opportunity.
Planted Mixer for the other Sheep and have started a Settler in the South for the Pigs/Gems city, and another at Fridge. The latter I may send across the NE for the Fish/Cows, but Joey has a Skirmisher in the area and might be territorial about the spot. Something to think about.
Currency in; CoL would be <3t at max Science and ~6t at break-even. I might slip Archery in beforehand though for some cheaper defensive units.

Summary image:
I'd just sent out my Chariot to look around / defog and he ran straight into a Barb Spear. After it had eaten him, I attacked with the Axe at ~88% and lost.
Great Wall is TBS as well.
Also note Haram is staking a claim to this stretch of land ... not too happy about that. He also offered me Open Borders for 4gpt, but since that's just about all I'd have received from him, I rejected and offered flat. He didn't accept.
I'll whip an Axe in and have a second arrive from the mainland in time to defend against the Spear.

Iron on the Western border:
Kettle switched to a Settler to claim it. Since I have IW now and can clear the Jungle, shifting the city 1W to allow it to work the Iron makes sense to me.
Here are demos at 0% Research:
Not too shabby.

Nice. Looks like things are going well. Is there any iron on the island? Or just in the homeland?

I do owe a bit of an update, especially since we just passed t100, but reporting this has - like Whosit - been a casualty of PB28 lately.
Things /seem/ to be going well, but I'm not sure if it's well enough. Haram & TBS have split all the early Wonders, while GJoey has spammed cities into every crack available to him. I'm up to 15 cities now, but have missed out on a couple of spots on the adjacent lands so probably need to be planning military action to reclaim them. I also think that I'm going to be bulbing CS next turn or the turn after and will see what options that opens up.

Hum, maybe it would be better to use the GM for a Golden Age instead. Next Great person is minimum 13t behind, so it would have to be a dry revolt - also meaning I couldn't take OrgRel and Confu without addl. turns.
Civil Service is worth ~1500 end beakers.
8t Golden age would save ~3t of revolt and generate ~400h and 500 raw commerce, as well as pushing the next couple of GP.
