Quick update- OT4E accepted the horse for stone deal. ( i settled his horse ) So i have begun building the mids in a new city... if anyone is working on it they better finish it soon as i will complete it in 12 turns or so. ( maybe less ) not that i REALLY need the mids... but getting Rep, or even the fail gold will be nice.. Also in other news i have started some stables and will be building HA's in 50% of my cities for many turns on end soon.

However... pressing news. OT4E has a game-ending stack near his border with Magic. He can hit 2 turns from now if he chooses. I....wont be able to break magics border cities for a little while. i estimate even if i whipped i could hit him no sooner than 6 turns from now. So i wont be whipping, besides the fact that i cant hit magic enough to actually grab and hold a city quite yet.. i have to worry about my huge border with shallow and his relatively powerful army ( HE HAS CATS ). I will be hitting Magic unless something new happens in about 10 turns from now. Unless Charriu believes he can get away with settling in "no-mans-land" between myself and OT4E. I have roughly 1/3rd of my forces in that area as i require the forests for my mids push, i do not like him being in that area. I cant really attack Charriu either, as i would then have EVEN MORE border issues with Shallow. Ugh.. OT4E just keep building and hit in like... 6 turns from now so i can have a little window. kthx

I noticed a lot of your units in the South West of your city Thor and that you double-moved me this turn. I have a settler in that area and just wanted to make sure, if we are in a potential settler race. In that case I think it would be fair if I double move you, too, so that everything is back normal. Before the double-move you generally played after me.
Thanks so far Charriu So.... If I don't have a settler in the area what do I respond with? " no I don't have one" or does he just get a double move even though I didn't think I was double moving?

OT4E moved his superstack closer to his border with magic.. and im still 10+ turns out from being able to commit much.. ugh. Shallow is im assuming clearing the jungle/roading the gems tile, its been 50/50 culture for awhile, and im hoping since im going down the literature-music line that i should be able to hold that fairly easily so if he wants to do some of the work for me go for it. Planning on grabbing the Music artist for either a culture bomb, or more likely an easy golden age. The Flash ( aka GLHouse city ) is about 13 turns from its own Great scientist or merchant and either is fine. Merchant for some nice gold, or the scientist for either a bulb or academy. I rank myself roughly tied with Shallow with OT4E obviously ahead. Charriu and magic arent super far behind, however i dont see their position on the rankings changing unless they get in on some of the dogpiling that will be coming soon.
Best case scenario for me- OT4E declares on Magic, Charriu jumps in on OT4E, Shallow attacks someone, and i build and build until they have exhausted their army leads and i can take some easy cities. Sadly, as soon as OT4E declares and starts moving troops in magic will no doubt believe i will be joining soon as well, meaning he will just keep whipping defenders in his border cities about 10 turns sooner than i want :/

Another couple of things, Charriu planted on flatland.... but has plenty of defenders to not be in trouble. I am building the temple of Artemis in Spiderman for potential culture or failgold. But Thor and his Mids are looking like either some VERY NICE failgold or some rep/police state action. Cant wait.

OT4E has moved another tile closer to Magic. He has a very impressive army, one which i would have to emergency whip axes till the end of time to beat.. Magic is going to be hurting. Hopefully hurting enough that i can slip in and grab some cities. Ill have to make sure to get to Machinery for Crossbows or something similar to compete with Preats though. Still curious if Shallow will try and take Spiderman, or if he will swoop in on magic like i plan on.. atm im thinking ill wait till he has lost 2 cities before i declare. Mainly because i believe that he will still be anti-me due to the early raze and i dont want him to turn all his units on me and let OT4E have an even easier win..
Someone is really cranking the beakers, im hoping that its someone building research + a tech like archery or w/ever is cheap. If i wanted to i could research literature THIS turn, but id rather stockpile some gold and go thru metal casting as well.. Workshops here i come! Followed by music for an easy golden age or possibly ill bomb a city that i take from magic, or ill bomb the shallow border if i feel i can defend the backlash..

Basically i had thought i made some pretty good plans to grab Magic's island city, and snipe at least 1 city within a turn or so of each other. Now OT4E has accepted peace with Magic.. I have no idea what his plan is as that must be costing him a fortune. Ill be following his army around to make sure it doesnt detour. My best guesses are either finishing off RFS, or poking Shallow. RFS i can see, as its kind of mean to leave someone on one city for many many turns and not finish them off so he might be doing a pity kill? Attacking Shallow would be the DREAM scenario. Im holding off from jumping into any war on OT4E's side though if he pulls this "take one city with massive army" then accepts peace.. Yeah, magic would have just whipped axes/maybe archers till the end of time.. but you have AGG Preats, all you would need is to churn more out for another ~15 turns MAX and you would be the CLEAR winner, instead of just the frontrunner. IMO.

Also the name of that city seems a little too telegraphic to magic to me.. Its like me naming Green Lantern- IKilledHongKong.. /shrug.

Since Elkad has logged in, i figured i would give a brief update while we wait for the turn to roll. With Elkad swapping OT4E out, i have lost all " good relations " that i might have had, unless OT4E fills him in and he realizes that im likely the only one alive that wont attack him at the drop of a hat.. its not gonna be looking good for me. Going to continue to follow his superstack around and make sure that he isnt forming another one on our border. Shallow has a small army on the Magic/Rome border that might have been a attacking force to dogpile someone, but its not really that threatening ( unless i missed a ton of units ). Finally, i have a growing stack of Horse Archers near my border with magic/shallow. I plan on having 2-3 cities continuing to build up the stack for either a dogpile attempt or if someone gets too far behind.. a kill. Sadly, only Magic cant see the stack. I have Open borders with everyone else, and last i checked im the only one with OB's with Rome.
TLDR-
Good News- Elkad is replacing the warmonger OT4E. My position in this game is imo, roughly in the top 3 with my growing production numbers and top gnp/food numbers i expect to be able to keep up with the others till someone runs into me. All i have to do to secure a win in this game is wait for someone to declare war on Rome, or Magic. the two most likely to be declared on for the following reasons: Rome- Current score leader, has built many wonders has a religion + shrine?, has a stupid huge army and is a major threat to just win the game. Magic- Has been crippled in the early game due to a certain enthusiastic impi rush.. and now a "rome relocation decree" that forced many native Magic's to be killed and then their kids were forced to build a new city. Magic now sits on the "likely to die next" category that RFS is currently in.
Bad News- Rome is going through leaders like they are going out of style.. Unstable Rome is dangerous. AGG Rome is stupid dangerous. An unstable AGG Rome is borderline insane. Magic didnt get ran over, doesnt likely trust ANY neighbor atm, and likely whipped/has a bunch of units now making a future war that much more painful. Charriu settled a rather aggressive plant in what should be Rome or Zulu territory... and i would love to punish him for it but he is also TOKU.. basically the hard counter to AGG/CHA.
Current rankings-
Rome- Amazing play so far, has AGG Preats to be stupid with. Controls many wonders. 35%
Shallow- City count leader, has alot of potential attack angles, can attack Romes exposed cities while Rome is off anywhere else, attack magic, attack me, attack a weakened China, or even finish off RFS. 25%
Myself- Can be GNP leader w/o research/wealth builds. Lacking improvements, but soaring in production and food charts as i get my ass in gear.. 25%
Charriu- Is in a rough spot in the game politics, as he attacked Rome, settled up on me, and attacked RFS. Could "team up " with shallow to split someone. 10%
Magic- Has a bit more catching up to do than before the Rome war. Is still able to win the game, but relies on being #3 in a dogpile on someone. 5%
RFS- Has .000001% chance of winning, basically needs to be put out of his misery at this point. Screwed the first 50+ turns of the game up by not building a settler till cap was size 5, among other issues. .0001%

Slowing building towards a knight push. ill have to look up what a great scientist can bulb for me to see if having him be an academy or bulbing will be faster.. Also going to be first to Music i bet, so free GA for a golden age. Great Library coming in in the capital in 3ish turns, along with a GS in The Flash in 3 turns. Working on Spiderman's culture using TOA, about 12ish turns to go on it and then that gems will be mine forever D;
Also working on Statue of Zues and Heroic epic for some future military shenanigans, i have a fairly sizeable mobile army that trumps anything on the field cept Rome. Just going to sit back and tech to knights unless someone declares war on someone.

Transitioning to workshop eco, along with improving a bunch of tiles that i failed to improve due to having something like 7 workers for 10 cities at one point.. Also Shallow got CoLaws.. which is just perfect.. thats what i needed the most having the biggest neighbor have courthouses to fix his eco+ EP spending.

i also fully expect to lose the mids soon. They have gone FAR too long, the failgold will be nice to help push me to knights.
