[SPOILERS] Lewger goes for the Bigwyn

lmao. we haven't even built a warrior yet, relax. my logic is: we know where there capital is, they don't have a clue of ours, or even that we are nearby (yet). so we will have a tremendous tactical advantage. But its dependent on having convenient copper (cross fingers). It's just one of many ideas I've floated smile.

I'm not sure we can meet him here without him realizing where we are. even if the land loops around the lake to the right (which seems likely), it still won't be difficult for him to deduce where our capital is. So, right now we know where he is and that he's close, and he doesnt, if we make contact we give up half that advantage.

Let me turn that around - what do we gain by meeting Azza?

Known tech bonus? EPs actually being put to use?

The question is does that outweigh potential huts in the fog to the west that might be gotten by others? Also what if there's a hut east of our capital?

eh, unless he has met someone else, won't his EP's pretty much neutralize our EP's?

he starts with mining and fishing, so if he goes bronze working first, he will beat us by about 8 turns and give us a known tech bonus for halfish our research time of BW. But that will be a rather small bonus, I think, with 11 players. And he could just as easily squeeze in a worker tech first (agriculture?). I don't know Azza enough to try and guess here.

As for the west - well we clearly need more scouting. There is the possibility that the west/tundra area is a dead end, and that Azza cuts us off from the rest of the mainland - in which case we will need to go to war at some point, most likely. That wouldnt surprise me at all. In fact, since south of the stone is coast, and north of our capital, I think the only two possibilities are that he cuts us off, or the mainland lies to the west and we cut him off. (the former seems more likely).

Anyway, how soon until you can get on chat? smile The turn hasn't rolled yet so we probably have some 30 hours to decide how to move the scout.

I'm not sure about that - you'll spend three turns going over areas we've already seen rather than exposing new land. Looking into the fog again (am I obsessed?)







I'm pretty sure that is the last tile of the lake, and the layout here is something like:




So going NE, SE-NE becomes an option:



And we'll only get spotted if Azza's scout is in the area. In which case he'll probably find us eventually anyway...

C&D - Pindicooter finished a tech t7 while Nakor/Jester popped a tech t6 and finished a tech t7, no soldiers or religions founded so NJ must have got fishing and agri (I don't know which order) while pindicooter researched either fishing or myst (must be fishing mustn't it?)

I think the thing is that there's A) more likelyhood of huts in the west since Azza may have scouted East and popped any near him, and B) when we build our warrior it will be going east and south to scout and if we scout that way with our scout the warrior won't have much to do and it would take him longer to go west to bust new fog.
