Yeah, so I've not been updating much. For some reason I haven't really felt a connection to this game, possibly because PB28 has eaten up a lot of my time, but maybe also because I've been feeling a little ... stuck? Wedged between 3 great powers: Haram to the West, TBS to the South, and GJoey to the NE.

I've decided that what I really need to engage myself with the game is a good War. So I'm gearing up for a Knight rush at Tsargon.

Although with the change of ownership to the West, I might look at my opportunities to grab this territory:

As you'll have seen from Haram's thread, I screwed up the lead-up to declaring, but here's the attack going in:

And I think that's most of his force. <ugh> Since it looks like GJoey's declaration was mostly bluster <sigh>:

Yeah, not getting through his defenses. I made a few attacks at Quann with better than average success, but not enough to break through - particularly since he has Engineering coming in and can hit from both directions.

We both got GGs from the exchange, and then I offered a flat Peace. GJoey declared Peace last turn / this turn so no ally, and I half expect him to come for me instead in his Galleons....

Yeah, that went about as badly as expected. He demanded 200g for Peace, which I declined (foolishly) kept moving forward my back stacks, and offered 50g.

Peace. Back to insular, slow growth and waiting to be eaten by an overpowered neighbour. I suppose I should reconsider Tsargon as a target?

With the information I have it looks like Joey has troops in range of more than one of his potential / existing (??) war opponents and is concerned about them switching up the order to take advantage of his vulnerabilities and / or switching orders for advantage. I'm guessing this is on the Sea, since I doubt his Rifles are directly threatened. Sounds like care is needed on all sides.

Oh, and Privateers...

Either way, for now the storm seems to be raging around me, which is good since I'm behind technologically. I've just started Chemistry (now GJoey has completed for the added KTB) which gets me the extra hammer on the Workshops and pushes quite a few to PROD uplift territory. Then I think Astro to get a sea defense floated and after that I can think about something better than Muskets...

Well I'm not invested in the game continuing, but I'm happy to do so while others are interested.
