[PB66 Mjmd] I HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT!!!

Appreciate the effort to catch up with reports! Do you have a pic of the Kremlin city? I have to admit that I was so checked out that I only notied it being razed when I read about it in some thread after the elimination  crazyeye

...

Mig retook every city I had taken and offered peace. Like hell I'm giving those cities to Gav. The whole reason I jumped in is I thought you were gassed! Its actually impressive he put together forces to retake. He got pretty lucky on his softening up attacks. Its possible* he has enough troops to raze Shenandoah next turn (I'll have 9 there, but only 3 modern). I get that Mig thinks I  betrayed him, which I did, but it was only because there wasn't a better option. I even kicking around with the idea of giving him a city far away but A) he is focusing his remaining forces on me and B) I can't find a good spot I don't care about. Game is too close. For the record Mig I would have tried defending you from PP if he had invaded. You know the reason I built the railroad you are now using to attack me with!

I was very proud of the reconquests and blowing up those tanks tongue . But I wasn't mad about you betraying us or anything, it was just that this was the last opportunity to get some kills in. I actually committed most of the forces on Gav - it showed on the power graph - but after the first 40 or 50 cannons I could not really attack big stacks anymore.

I noticed and appreciated you building the railroad and assumed it was to intervene in the Plemo war if there was an opportunity. However that war went nowhere, except that I'll claim that we were the only team who have got a city from Plemo in a war and kept it smug (I think you resettled a few razes?). But by the time you invaded I was building my own railroads tongue . In fact, during the turn I counterattacked I needed just 0.2 extra movement on two workers to raze your new city (Shenandoah?).

Thanks for being a good neighbour only till the end. I think you've played impressively so far,  popcorn  where it will take you yet.

I sadly do not have a pic of my Kremlin, ironworks, HE city in its glory, but the screenshot of my city queues turn before its destruction shows 204 hammer/turn. It even had an aqueduct and grocer because I was preparing it to whip ICBMs, but alas I was an idiot.

Ya I thought for a second you had actually repulsed Gav. I actually continued building my railway line specifically because I thought the end result might end up being you alive but super weak. During your attack on Plemo I wrote (but somewhere in the wall of text I've written this game) that I actually saw he might kill your army and I dry whipped a descent chunk of cities to try to get a relief force together. He then gave you peace and I don't think you ever saw my forces I had started sending. But ya that made me realize I needed to a railway across to reinforce if need be.

Ya I've resettled a few razes and T/C have also resettled some of the razes.

no sure if this belongs here...

I wanted to log in into PB66, since there is little in the way of reports

HEH!!!!

And yes I am trying to do a more in depth T250 report. Will probably take me longer to write than play lol.

At first I was writing "...since nobody is reporting", but then I recognized that you just had wink

Your reports are very old MJ, even if we appreciate the effort it doesn't exactly count wink

I've reported through T242 and its only T250. What you think its late game and a lot of things can happen in that time frame or something?

Assuming Plemo doesn't play everything in one day I'll try to get a few more turns caught up tomorrow.

Oh, I didn't realise you were so close.

I've caught it up quite a bit since we decided to do a more relaxed turn pace, for which I'm thankful on multiple fronts.

popcorn I'm super curious on what Plemo is did this turn as I thought only maybe 1 city was vulnerable.

Anyways, mistakes during war stay. Haven't gotten there in thread yet, but I recently miss clicked two guided missiles. Thought I had loaded, but evidently I only loaded 1 of the 3. Added a lot of tenseness let me tell you. I almost delayed my plan a turn because of it. (and I deleted the two unloaded missiles)

As promised lets start catching up some more.

Quiet Where They Sleep

T243

PP went 1-4 on my isolated fighters covering my invasion force. He then bombed my marines and attacked out to great success killing all but 1.

On my turn I sent in two fighters going 2-0. I don't know if he built culture (prob and I wonder if me researching music made him think of it, its a good move), but it meant 2 of my tanks couldn't join in. Results were mixed with me winning a couple early battles at 46% and then losing a couple later at 65ish %. I lost a lot of good troops to kill this one city. Unclear if it was worth it, but just sitting around I don't think is valid either. I did end up deleting most of the victorious units as I fully expect anything remaining to die. I did leave 2 full health marines and an injured tank as target practice, I mean distraction for his air force.

I should mention it sounds really stupid to want to put cities on that area NOW, but I was kind of blindly following my plan BEFORE I couldn't whip a bunch of nukes to clear out the keystone city.

I think they have about 10 fighters aboard their carriers but only 1 on intercept, went 1-1 (future note carrier bug probably). I actually was going to place two cities here, but that seems foolish while I'm in range of bombers. I MAYBE* still could if I pillage a 3rd line of rds. Mind you if I hadn't been super paranoid and unloaded the transports last turn I could have razed the T/C PP city this turn.

I took two Mig cities as he has pulled back to two last cities, but he actually has WAY more than I thought so debating about how much to reinforce and where. He definetely COULD HAVE razed my city.

Upped my offer to T/C to 20gpt for each resource.

Split up stuff just in case. Put a couple of bomb shelters in queue. Whipped my first nuke. Should I have waited until next turn for all this? Maybe, but I had a weekend night to do it, so just a matter of available time.

Cornflakes main nuke advice was to strike first. Razing of BBB prevented that.

Razed Abydos using carrier fighters and some random infantry. Lost 1 high odds battle, but ah well. Could T/C have done this at ANY point including immediately after PP took. ABSOLUTELY. Bloody cowards.

Speaking of cowards. PP had me outnumbered 18 to 10 on fighters. I would have SNAPPED that off.

Why I only put bomb shelters in 2/4 front line cities last turn is a matter of intense dumbness. My tests without reveal 1 nuke severely softens and 2nd finishes ALMOST everything. With a bomb shelter you need 3 nukes plus small amounts of clearing fores. I'm also not sure why the bunkers weren't built like 2-3 turn ago although I'M FAIRLY sure Plemo only whipped tactical nukes.

PP are FINALLY going for fascism. I was positive they would snap off in the 210s in their last GA. With Christo I've still been expecting constantly.

On the Mig front he decided thankfully to throw forces against Gav. Was this because I cut key roads last turn? Or just because? Either way thankful. I actually went back and forth on fighter scout to confirm and I eventually did. Which let me snip 5! Mig workers.

I'm very sad I never hit 100 towns this game. Every time I get close something happens. In this case I'm turning a lot of them into watermills and 1 fort by Away Rio for fighters (I thought I could hide ships there but OOPS), but still want for fighters so works out although I probably would have placed a different town.

My tech is going to get very bad because along with that I got more nuke whips this turn.

T245

Playing  when still mildly sick meant I air bombed instead of air striked Migs city. Oops. I'm pretty sure bomber collateral works on machine guns, but this still worked out pretty well. Lost just 2 tanks. Gav did send me a message giving me sugar (ie the city), but he also advanced his stack at it. Mig kept all his workers and settlers alive which I am VERY thankful of. Again, Assuming Gav doesn't back stab I have some major tile rework going on varioiu places.

I've been sick for days, and usually my brain doesn't work as well, but one thing came through during that time. I can not win. IF somehow I were to start pushing against PP would Gav and T/C really let me? I also find that prospect to be really low. So what if we take the old adage I don't have to win Plemo just has to lose? I offered both Gav and T/C the following deal. I demanded iron and city near PP and offered fish 100g and aluminum. You help me with this war and I give you peace and you can build the spaceship. Its a victory condition I can't achieve over any of them. We will see.

So with nukes about to fly I realized fighters in cities aren't great. So I built some extra carriers and an extra fort. Last turn I realized that if PP did nothing I would outnumber their fighters, so instead of just rebasing and opening my self up I could just reduce the number of fighters I had in my cities..... PP also rebuilt a very nicely located net. Now I don't outnumber by a ton. LAST turn by my count I outnumbered 28 (2 injured) to 18. AND I'm not about to waste one of those scouting to confirm!!!

AND it went poorly........... I lost 16 and killed 11. Not sure if his superior promos mattered just that much or bad luck especially early. I also had multiple good 2/3 promo fighters early go down doing no damage. I even built a road in their territory so 1 fighter could attack and it died of course (and that was the one I would have scouted with too). My two injured fighters did win against what I'm assuming were already damaged fighters. SIGH. Just needed to be a little luckier on the front half. I do wish there was some sort of combat log. With the fighters "hidden" in carriers you can't actually see promos. Its a low priority item, but wouldn't mind getting it changed so intercepting fighters showed as in the stack if they are on carriers.

And you can count 1 more fighter lost. Forgot to load 1 surviving fighter in Away Rio which I expect to be nuked and razed. Speaking of most of my front line cities are now defended by light garrisons or primarily rifles for some odd reason.......... noidea Out on Holiday I kept fairly well garrisoned with rifles to force the nukes

I had majorly shifted from ships to land forces, but I realized I should have switched back to ships last turn. I have a feeling there is about to be a major naval battle. Geography is favoring me giving me a huge area to spread ships over (see below).

I have 4 nukes out, with 3 more coming next turn, and 9 more in queue. I'm pretty sure PP has 7 out with fascism due next turn. Interesting times ahead.
