Now looking at the map again. I probably want to occupy that "Lizard cave" in the north. I'll probably send the scout there after popping the hut and replace it with warrior a bit later. Goblins and Warriors should be easy to handle, but Lizards with 2 movement and 4 Strength are very annoying.

edit. Also I don't think I want to rush for Hyborem unless I get Philo at the right time to enable very fast generation of Prophets. However founding AV religion might be worth pursuing assuming it will get widely spread. Not sure what techs I need before heading there though. I'm currently thinking I want at least Mining and Calendar. Education would also be very good enabling cottages since it seems I'm not planting farms any time soon. Ellimist what do you think of these?

Someone has military 1000 i.e. Probably means no units at all. Someone has land area 110000. That is a lot. It means that someone has bought more than 1 border pop.

Getting curious with that 110 land tiles. 1st ring is 9, 2nd 21 (~10 gold), 3rd 37(40 gold), 4th 69 (does eanybody know the costs?) and 5th 109 land tiles.

Possibly Kurios did cast Legends, but why didn't they do that last turn? I didn't rememeber to check the Event log, but I think casting this event should be visible there. The problem is that they should have only 2 cities and Legends give 3rd ring i.e. max 74 tiles. So doesn't seem like this was it.

So we need to have a nation with 110 land tiles. Popping 5th ring wouldn't do that. Having 3 cities to pop 3rd ring would be too expensive. Having 2 cities and popping 3rd and 4th wouldn't do that (106 tiles). So it must be 2 cities with 4th ring popped. 2 cities cost 162 leaving 240 to pop 4th ring. If that is possible it is huge bargain since popping 3rd ring would cost already 50/city. Also score doesn't seem to match, since someone doing this should have weak score, but we've pretty even scores when taking into accout CoE started without starting techs (and Kurios already ruled out). I think best explanation is that the one pushing borders got some extra gold/techs from a hut or huts. Not quite convinced I've the right answer. Could someone point out, if I'm off in some of my numbers.

So who is the person with 110 tiles. Almost certainly not Kurios or Bob that should have his personal small sea. So Ilios or Selrahc. Selrahc seems more likely to have this kind of strange opening. He is safe from Barbs too so he wouldn't need any units either at this point and have power 1000 and save few coins there.

How does cultural victory work in FFH? Is it the same 25000 points for 3 cities?

Now looking at the numbers again Bob has started with just 1 city of size 2 having only 8 land tiles i.e. That has left lot of coins to do something else and also indicates strongly he is probably Hyborem rushing.

Alright finally reopened the save and Legends has been cast and that explains the land points totally. After testing it speed doesn't affect to the culture points so 300 points means 4th ring. Maybe omething for the EitB 0009 wish list i.e. Legends should scale with speed.

So we've Bob with 1 city, 8 land tiles and size 2 capital. All the others have 2 cities of size 1.

Hut gave 58 gold. 1st warrior ready. I'll send him to the nearby Barrow standing. I'll probably build 2 more warriors and then pop it. What is considered safe amount to pop it? After all I don't want to give any units to Selrahc from there.

8. You block off all surrounding tiles and nothing nasty can spawn for lack of unoccupied space.

Apart from that, if you spawn something that can eat a warrior in a city and survive a counterattack, then you can probably forget about that city. If you're determined to pop that dungeon early, having 2 warrior garrisons is enough if you're able to 2t a third one.

Not gonna play it totally safe. That would be boring. It seems to me Bob did buy a setler and settled him this turn. I wonder if this is better deal for Expansive than buying 2 cities. I might had to test it. Also It seems to me there is another Dragon Bones!

Buying a settler for expansive leader costs only 72 gold so doing it this way saves few coins (97 gold was direct settling cost of 2nd city).
