I can't tell, Sunrise, but it was a lot. My tech pace really sucks. I'm doing a 3t feudalism at 100% research, wich is more then 200g deficit per turn (and I get ~130 gold at 100% gold slider).

I needed education + liberalism. I'd probably would still be teching it (well, I was going to fire a GA now and I could have used the GSci for education).

But, yeah, not even close. :/ I almost had no cottages in my land (yeah, financial with no cottages is obvious best play rolleye) and a big useless army. But the evil dicatator Stupendous Man was about to be overtaken by a rebellious group, so I think the economy could have improved. Cannot say for sure, though...

By the way, Sunrise, the part of my thread about the city of Nero that I wanted you to read was because my whole plan was based on you keeping the city (because I wanted to culture flip it with a culture bomb). I said the thing about captured wonder culture just so you would correct me and kill my argument, keeping the city.

In the end you razed it and I was left bumping my head against the wall banghead.

Sorry if it annoyed you (and for the other jokes too - they were all jokes).

lol love the stack Ichabod! With all that collateral, the person who plays first wins!

I'm sitting at 40+gpt in unit costs, so it probably would have been a blessing to be wiped out smile

@Ichabod - I had a GScientist born during the window, so I think I was only 6t from Liberalism when Parkin got it. Obviously further if I was wrong on bulb priority or if I'd used the GS for the academy I wanted (and built).

We generate at least roughly equal gold. EDIT, got actual numbers: I'm 203gpt at 0% science, breakeven at 50%, at -227gold for 535beaker at 100%. FYI Parkin has double my GDP even when I'm running that super-deficit.

Had you honored our NAP I think you would have had a tough time flipping the city. I don't think cities will ever flip once they have ~10 units, and I had a lot of obsolete WCs laying around smile Anyways, I guess we both outsmarted each other...

I make 142 gold at 0% science, but since I'm building some wealth, it goes to 170g. At 100% science I get 371 beakers with 195g deficit. As you can see, my economy was pretty bad (well, I'll finish the UoSankore this turn, adding 4 beakers to my tech rate lol).

Yeah, it was more for the fun of it (of course, the plan was to get you to sign the demilitarization deal to not be able to put units on Nero - like that was going to happen, right? lol).

But, yeah, we outsmarted each other. After looking back I realized that my army moves might have induced you to think i was going to NAP stab you, but that wasn't a plan at all. I moved the army there because I thought I could reach the city first, before I realized that I really couldn't.

@Ichabod - I was actually totally on board with the demilitarized thing, but I hadn't read it carefully and didn't think it meant no units could be positioned there (probably since it shouldn't have mattered...except for flips lol) just that we couldn't attack to/from that area or capture those cities. That's one of the reasons I pinged you on the follow-up NAP - I considered that whole exchange accepted and wanted to get the specifics settled. I'd have probably objected to a complete demilitarization though since I'd have worried of a Roman counterattack if the cities only had 1-2 units in them and nothing available to cover.

Until you finally moved your stack onto the unroaded hill your stack move was really scary/suspicious. I really had to do some soul searching about how much I was willing to throw the game to not be bullied on those lands, since I knew you could initiate on me with all of that siege.
