Are you talking about the Musket 1SW of Chrysalis that sort of looks like a worker if you're doing a Noble and quickly skimming the post for something to nitpick but not reading the part where I called it a musket?
(I just checked my pictures like 40 times to make sure there's not actually a worker there that I somehow missed.)

Yeah that looked like a worker the first four times I looked at it. I did read the line about the musket but it didn't register that it was that unit because I had already pegged it as a worker.

Is this war an argument for or against turn splits?

So I'm wondering if we should raze both of these remaining TBS cities and not just the northernmost ones.
Mack brought more to this than we did, and he's about to have MilTrad. Cuirs and Cannons means we can't really hope to hold this stuff by land, our advantage is really only on the water. So I'm wondering if we should consider just burning/pillaging as much as we can so that mack can't benefit from this island as much. Pindicator, any thoughts on that? I'm struggling to figure out how we can hold this island productively.
Unsurprisingly, TBS attacked and won at 30% odds. Such is life. Captain Trips can be walked into, and the last city can be hit pretty easily next turn.

This is how I see it:
1) You have a pretty good navy as soon as you get SotL out.
2) Mackoti's going to need to keep his navy in a few stacks to negate your speed advantage.
So.... I think you should keep those cities but pillage as many improvements as you can. Then you should put enough units on this island to credibly hold it. You should evacuate your units out either by land or sea when he starts invading. Basically what I'm suggesting is you use this island to by time and to pull Mackoti's army out of position.
He's going to have to take it slowly by sea or slowly by land to kick you out out right? Why not try to get him to commit his navy up and army up here to take what's left of this place and swing south to burn his coast? No idea on the feasibility of this though but maybe something similar might work out.
