Are:
Vault threshold on HUD corrected (new bar implemented?) Restore turn numbers on log (& top-5 cities screen) On the list?
A lot of things are on the list. Yeah, those two both make the cut.

I've played with the Calabim a bit in v11.1, and the governor's manor nerf is a pretty heavy hit for Decius, although it has the positive side effect of making Decius and Flauros much more comparable in strength (although Flauros is now better in most situations, IMO). Proposal: let them build Elder Councils. This makes Alexis a lot more appealing as a leader, and would make each of the three useful in their own way.
I heartily propose sanctuary be changed back to 30 turns (which sometimes is actually 29)
I propose that the tech costs for ashen veil and Hyborem techs be reduced to make them more appealing.
30t is far too long IMO. It gives you so much time to complete a peaceful victory condition. You can play conservatively till ~T100, so it'd be pretty foolish to attack you before then. The attacker might be able to beat you but they'd fall behind everyone else. Then you have 30t with no worries to hit your VC. The turn numbers are map dependent, but the strategy is borderline OP and pretty boring I think.
Actually, the boring part is the most important. If the Elohim need a buff, I'd try it elsewhere for that reason. I can't remember the relative AV tech figures but it has always been one of the most appealing religions for me. From memory, I'd guess it's been used more often than the other late religions, Empy/Esus/Order, in recent games.
Bear in mind too Kragroth that the Veil + Pact are fairly easily bulbed, thanks to both sages and prophets favoring them if you manage your techs correctly. They were bumped up in price in large part because it was too easy to get Hyborem in play before people could reasonably counter him, and that was before the Infernals got a big boost.

What bif boost to infernals? A Hyborem before people can react is the point. It's a big gambit to summon him in the first place. If hyborem can't conquer some cities with his slow 1 move, then you hurt your winning chances by summoning him.
Hyborem gets 2 moves, and I'm pretty sure that the same as in base.
Hyborem was altered in v10 so that his strength was dependent on the size (in raw city numbers) of the average civilization (including dead ones, btw). He recieved/recieves 1 additional Iron Aze, worker, and settler (without the SS promotion) for every 2 average cities in the world, in addition to his normal units m

Better still: allow *only* Alexis to build Elder Councils (by creating a special Elder Council building available only to Calibim and TRAIT_PHILOSOPHICAL). Another thought: I typically play my SP games at Immortal. The two free promos on the barb units built in cities make them much more of a threat, and harder to kill. Since this is intended to be an MP mod, how about giving those two free promos at all difficulty levels? |
