HitAnyKey Wrote:I also looked at it and the Settler will get there on the same 3rd turn by taking the southern route.

The problem with the southern route is that, it can now be a forest on that tile W,W of the Settler. We don't have a vision on that tile for a long time.

Gah. That thought never even crossed my mind. Well, crossing my fingers that next turn we'll see that it's still a grassland. smile
At least now it'll always be something I'll think about in the future.

That's way we should post anything we will do on forum before doing it wink
Somebody can look at it from different side.

I'm pretty sure forests always appear instantly on the map, even if it's in the fog. Certainly they disappear instantly due to chopping/cities planted even when you haven't got vision in the area. Indeed, sometimes this is how you can get a hint of a rival's city placement.

So if that's correct, if the tile appears to be a grassland, it won't have a forest on it (at least not this turn).

I have just proved that LP's statement is correct by looking back at old screenshots posted in this thread. Look at the screen shot in the below post:

You'll see there is no forest south of the Crab (east of the Copper) in that picture. But we now currently see that there is a forest there. So it grew sometime in the past, in the fog, and we can see that it is now a forest.

If it's true about the forest, it's very good.

But can we agree that we do not change any moves without first posting it in the forum?

Otherwise it's only a matter of time before we mess something critical.

Yeah, I've noticed it in many previous games. Must have been an oversight in development or something. It's not an obvious thing I guess, but once you notice it you see the effects all the time.

Pirate's scout was caught in a trap. He should be killed by Bos (he will have time to heal, guarding Animal Farm), not by Sus, who need to go N next.

Yeah, of course. And speaking of that matter....

Do we really want to declare war right now and kill the scout? I think we should get a consensus from as many team members that are actually reading this forum. (I'm looking at those of you who have not been posting much, or not at all) smile

Mortius wants war, I can see that. I think I do too, but still trying to decide if that's exactly the way I want to vote.
So, the rest of you out there....please post your thoughts and what you want for our team. I've fully agreed with all of Mortius' turn plans so far as they've all been pretty obvious things we should do, but this one is a very big one that can't be easily "fixed".

I'm going to log in after I have breakfast and do all of our moves except for the attack. I will wait on that move until we've hopefully heard from at least one or two more teammates.

I am affraid it's too late. I have just played the turn before seeing this post.

But we are talking about the war with Pirates for several days, IMO it was enough time to express any concerns.
