Sadly, he's between the two most passive players in the universe. I'm going with "nobody calls him on it".

Oh, too right. Hopefully if I was playing in the game I'd have paid a bit closer attention. Even with the correction, the point stands that Jowy should have probably tried to hide the stack better, though local geography makes it hard with the cultural border being as it is. Maybe putting the units inside the city would have helped? At least then Yuri would have to mouse over the city to see the stack. But he probably checks that garrison every turn anyway just for that reason. I guess just one more reason for the attack to fail, no real way to have an element of surprise from this attack point.

Heh, time will tell. I know if I had a militant neighbor I'd check twice, I always check the perimeter once anyway, peace or war. I don't trust any player, never mind Jowy.

Sadly.

Hey, credit to Jowy, he's pretty good when it comes to launching a blitz campaign. We'll see if he has learned to continue applying pressure after attrition takes its toll on his initial stacks. Curious that he's razing every city- probably not a bad idea, since in the past he has proven much more adept at taking cities than holding them.

I just want to scream at Catwalk to wait on better units to draft right around the corner. Drafting maces makes no sense now. Save the happiness and population for muskets, or...redcoats. Then spend it all on a huge stack. Until then build catapults everywhere, can't have too many of those and they're not going obsolete any time soon.

Catwalk put a giant stack of 14 spears, 6 axes, 2 cats (only two?!) and a mace/HA right on the border with Jowy, as if that's the invasion stack. If you're going to draft maces why not draft a few rounds and then match them over to the border?? At least maybe Jowy may have thought Nakor was the target and maybe he'd have stayed invested in his campaign against Yuri. Now what's Catwalk going to accomplish? Those spears won't be much help attacking cities. I'd say they're sufficient for stack defense if Jowy brings his all his HAs over, but Catwalk doesn't have enough maces or catapults for the invasion yet. I think the best Catwalk can do with that force is to have Jowy get really careless with his mounted stack positioning and expose it to all those spears. But with a mobility advantage and with the fight being in Jowy's culture that is very unlikely.
This looks like an opportunity waiting to be squandered by Catwalk, but maybe I'm wrong.

Candidate 1 - the city of Provlak:

and Candidate 2 - the city of Manole:

I can have it in each place in 2 already turns.
I have my pros and cons, but wont share them to not lead and bias opinions. All comments and suggestions are welcome.

I wouldn't even consider the other city, in comparison. Nice job on the fail gold, too.
Compare that with BaII's currently sad Moai city:

Moai city finally completed, I might run this as my HE city just because I have no better sites. I'm probably just going to place it there and then use all the units I made there for the war with Gawd maybe it's worthwhile maybe it's not let's see.
BaII, fire that merchant and grow the city ASAP. And can that really be his best HE city? I haven't seen a wide empire view lately, but surely I gave him at least a few good production sites he could use instead of this city. If not, mea culpa.
