More pics later - the last couple of turns haven't been all that interesting. One thing of note happened last turn,though - Krill showed up with a chariot that can take a promotion. He apparently knows both barteq and adrien and has OB with adrien. This leads me to think that he is south of them, which leads me to think that there is someone on the other side of barteq, so maybe I'm not going to get his with a huge army and that maybe, just maybe, he's at war, which is why he's keeping to his turn split.

Turn 90, In Which Little More Happens
Still trying to grow military and improve my cities. Barteq is still growing in power - in fact, I think he's growing faster than me and is already bigger than me. My best hope is that he does, in fact, have someone on the other side that he has to do deal with, cause if his entire force is attacking me, I'm going to have a problem.
Demos - I am 3rd in soldiers and barteq is like 35% more powerful. Christ.
I missed talking about MoM. Ichabod asked for OB again and I declined - it doesn't help me and he doesn't have anything to offer for it. I dunno - maybe I shouldn't.

2 things - he has incense improved, so he's way up in tech (calendar and currency - I have alpha and nearly HBR) he's kicking my ass
I won't mention the other thing in that cap, cause it pisses me off.

Post wherein AT describes in agonizing detail his hatred of the number 10?
In which AT decries the civ-welfare state which provides that all capital cities shall provide two hammers on the city tile?
In which AT hopes for Molach's sake that the two tiles in Molach's capital's big fat cross that he can't see are improved or else Molach should die in shame for poor micro and worker management?
Or is it something else?

Well, it doesn't piss me off as much as it did - there's a ton of work that goes into building these maps, all of which is volunteer and we wouldn't have what has been an engaging and fun game without the work of the mapmakers.
And I get that you can't really give everyone the same start, cause that's boring as hell.
The thing that upset me is how he could make 1 move and exchange a fish for a wet wheat and a river sheep. That's basically an extra 4 foodhammers he got and didn't have to spend 25 foodhammers on a workboat.
Is it a big deal? kind of - I'm probably making a bigger deal of it than is warranted  I really don't want to beat on the mapmakers, because these are huge maps with a ton to look at. And my limited experience looking at maps for games indicates, to me, that anything other than perfect mirror will cause some inequities. Maybe I'm just bitching cause barteq has 1/2 again my power and dtay seems to be ramping up. There's a saying that if you are playing poker and can't figure out who the sucker is, it's you. I'm feeling quite like the sucker at this game

oh - one more thing that I missed - I am sending a settler, an axe, 2 archers and a spear to that pigs site. If Molach is going to let it sit, I'm gonna take it. Hopefully, that will end better than Unboiled Egg did...

No, you're right, Molach being able to move their capital for an extra food resource is a big deal. We actually did try to look for that kind of thing and prevent it - I personally spent many hours on *just* trying to clamp down on capital moves. Unfortunately, the recent RtR change of "everybody gets a 2h capital no matter what" made the map very hard to balance, and that one slipped by us. Sorry!
