See, this is kind of why I said Djinn aren't that bad in their current form. Paring mod buffed them up to S5 base, which would mean Uberfish would have S20 Djinn, which is an easy choice for best.
Djinn are a summon for a late game empire with a decent number of mana, who can't afford to give over multiple nodes to affinity. A perfect summon for a tower of mastery victory basically, if kind of weak in most other situations.

I think Amelia has the potential to deliver a hell of an upset with her world spell. If Darell sits 50, 200 or 2 million vampires and spectres next to water, a few cultists and the worldspell will remove them from the equation. And a large force of raider horse could take advantage of the situation.
Whoever fights Amelia first is stepping into a bear trap. They're going to have to do it very carefully. Even a small lapse in judgement could see an army washed away on the tides.

I think Darrell would be better off if he offered war-vassalization to Amelia rather than just trying to kill the Lanun (a la a certain other PBEM). At most, killing the Lanun would give him a few more vampires (he can't stop her from self-pillaging the coves and the vampires don't really need the XP), while her large HA stack should be more useful vs uberfish. I guess the question would be whether Amelia agrees to try for second place...

Well, it seems like Uberfish won. I really think it was deserved. As much as I think that all the players performed well, Uberfish knew exactly when to keep a low profile and tech/develop the land and when to attack and conquer territory, while keeping a solid diplomacy that helped him achieve his goals.
It'll be very fun to read the post game thread.

You can see why some people can be put of by FFH. One miss step and BAMN all those vampires lost. I wonder if the Vamps will continue to try to re put together a Vampi[re Force or just cede the game to the Tower building Elves?
